ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(13)H(28)N(2) (2+)·SO(4) (2-)·H(2)O, extensive hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the protonated 4,4'-(propane-1,3-di-yl)dipiperidinium ions, the sulfate anions and the water mol-ecules lead to a three-dimensional pillared and layered structure with the 4,4'-(propane-1,3-di-yl)-dipiperidinium ions acting as the pillars.

Project description:The title compound, (C(13)H(16)N(2))[NiCl(4)] or (H(2)bpp)·NiCl(4) [bpp is 1,3-bis-(4-pyrid-yl)propane], is isostructural with its already reported Cu, Zn and Hg analogues. The structure consists of a doubly charged (H(2)bpp)(2+) cation and a tetra-hedral [NiCl(4)](2-) dianion. Both pyridyl N atoms are protonated and form a (H(2)bpp)(2+) cation which adopts an anti-anti conformation with a dihedral angle of 6.287?(7)° between the pyridyl rings. The two pyridyl N atoms are both involved in strong N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, which link both units into a dimer.

Project description:The title compound, bis-[4,4'-(propane-1,3-di-yl)-dipiperidin-ium] ?-octa-molybdate(VI), (C(13)H(28)N(2))(2)[Mo(8)O(26)], was produced by hydro-thermal reaction of an acidified aqueous solution of Na(2)MoO(4)·2H(2)O and 4,4'-trimethyl-ene-dipiperidine (L). The structure of the title compound consists of ?-octa-molybdate(VI) anion clusters and protonated [H(2)L](2+) cations. The octa-molybdate anion is located around an inversion center. N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the cations and anions ensure the cohesion of the structure and result in a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(C(13)H(14)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(4)](C(12)H(8)O(6)S(2))·H(2)O, the cation, anion and uncoordinated water mol-ecule have crystallographically imposed twofold symmetry. The cobalt(II) atom exhibits a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry provided by two N atoms from two 1,3-bis-(4-pyrid-yl)propane ligands and the O atoms from four water mol-ecules. The dihedral angle between the pyridine rings in the ligand is 86.14 (11)°, whereas the dihedral angle formed by the symmetry-related benzene rings in the anion is 35.81 (12)°. In the crystal, cations, anions and water mol-ecules are linked into layers parallel to the ac plane by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen-bond inter-actions. The layers are further connected into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(17)H(16)N(4), is a bis-indazole crystallized in the rare 2H-tautomeric form. Indazole heterocycles are connected by a propane C(3) chain, and the mol-ecule is placed on a general position, in contrast to the analogous compound with a central C(2) ethane bridge, which was previously found to be placed on an inversion center in the same space group. In the title mol-ecule, indazole rings make a dihedral angle of 60.11?(7)°, and the bridging alkyl chain displays a trans conformation, resulting in a W-shaped mol-ecule.
