Project description:The title compound, C(10)H(8)I(3)NO(4), crystallizes with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The I atoms and the benzene ring plane in the two mol-ecules are approximately coplanar, the I atoms deviating by -0.1631?(1), 0.0704?(1) and -0.0507?(1)?Å from the mean plane of the benzene ring in one mol-ecule and by 0.1500?(1), -0.0034?(1) and -0.1213?(1)?Å in the other. The planes of the ester groups are almost orthogonal to those of the benzene rings in both mol-ecules, forming dihedral angles of 83.5?(3), 76.4?(3), 97.3?(1) and 75.7?(1)°. The mean planes of the benzene rings in two mol-ecules are inclined at 69.8?(3)° with respect to each other. In the crystal, inter-molecular I?O inter-actions link the mol-ecules into infinite chains. In addition, N-H?O and non-classical C-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Project description:Cocrystallization of 4-carboxypiperdine with 5-nitro-isophthalic acid afforded the title salt, 2C(6)H(12N)O(2) (+)·C(8)H(3)NO(6) (2-), in which the heterocyclic N atoms are protonated and the carboxylic acid groups are deprotonated. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions assemble the ions into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The whole mol-ecule of the title compound, C14H9NO6, is generated by twofold rotation symmetry; the twofold axis bis-ects the nitro group and the benzene ring. The nitro group is inclined to the benzene ring by 14.42?(9)°. The prop-2-yn-1-yl groups are inclined to the benzene ring by 13?(2)° and to each other by 24?(3)°; one directed above the plane of the benzene ring and the other below. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with an R 2 (2)(18) ring motif. The dimers are linked by further C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming sheets lying parallel to (100).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title quinoxaline compound, C(10)H(9)N(3)O(2), contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules (A and B). The quinoxaline ring systems are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.006 (1) and 0.017 (1) Å, respectively, for mol-ecules A and B. In mol-ecule A, the dihedral angle formed between the quinoxaline ring system and nitro group is 10.94 (3)° [6.31 (13)° for mol-ecule B]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into chains propagating along [001]: one forms zigzag chains linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, whilst the other forms ladder-like chains by way of C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The packing is further consolidated by weak π-π inter-actions [range of centroid-centroid distances = 3.5895 (7)-3.6324 (7) Å].

Project description:The title compound, C(2)H(8)N(+)·C(6)H(4)NO(3) (-)·C(6)H(5)NO(3), was synthesized from dimethyl-amine and 4-nitro-phenol in an overall yield of 85%. The dihdral angles between the nphenyl rings and their attached nitro groups are 5.7?(6) and 2.5?(7)°. In the crystal, there are strong hydrogen bonds between the ammonium group and the nitro-phenol and nitro-phenolate O atoms, and between the nitro-phenol and nitro-phenolate O atoms, forming a chain along the b-axis direction.
