Project description:In the title compound, C17H25N3O2S, the terminal and central amide groups are, respectively, twisted and coplanar with the attached benzene ring [O-C-C-C torsion angles = 22.7?(3) and 5.4?(3)°]. In the central part of the mol-ecule, the amide and thio-amide residues are approximately perpendicular [C-N-C-S torsion angle = -104.98?(18)°]. Supra-molecular layers with a zigzag topology are formed in the crystal packing by N-H?O, N-H?S and C-H?O inter-actions; these stack along c, being separated by hydro-phobic inter-actions.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, C(13)H(15)NO(6)·0.5H(2)O, the water O atom lies on a twofold rotation axis. The methoxy-carbonyl-methyl and amino groups are essentially coplanar and the methoxy-carbonyl-methyl group makes a dihedral angle of 79.73?(10)° with the mean plane of the hydroxy-phenyl ring. The amino and methoxy-carbonyl-methyl groups are involved in an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond which generates an S(5) ring motif. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked via N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?O inter-actions into a two-dimensional network parallel to the (01) plane. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(12)H(11)ClO(4), the propenoate C=C bond is in the Z configuration. The propenoate C=O and C=C groups are essentially coplanar [C=C-C=O torsion angle = 172.4?(3)°] with the O atom synperiplanar to the Cl atom. However, the ? systems of the aromatic ring and chloro-propenoate substituent are not coplanar; the corresponding dihedral angle is 51.5?(1)°. The noncoplanarity is likely due to steric inter-actions between the propenoate H atom and the ortho-methoxy-carbonyl group on the aromatic ring. Even in the observed noncoplanar conformation, the ortho C=O to H distance (2.40?Å) is less than the sum of the van der Waals radii of O and H (2.65?Å).

Project description:The title compound, C(14)H(12)ClNO(2), was prepared by refluxing 4-chloro-benzoyl chloride with o-anisidine in CHCl(3). The methoxy-phen-yl-amide segment of the mol-ecule is almost planar, with a dihedral angle of 5.10?(7)° between the benzene ring and the C-N-C(O)-C fragment. A weak intra-molecular N-H?O contact forms an S(5) ring and contributes to the planarity of this portion of the mol-ecule. The two benzene rings are inclined at an angle of 26.74?(7)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular Cl?O inter-actions of 3.1874?(9)?Å generate centrosymmetric dimers. These are further linked by C-H?O and C-H?? inter-actions, forming inversion related sheets parallel to [001].
