Project description:A new polymorph of the title compound, [Pd(2)(C(8)H(18)P)(2)(C(8)H(19)P)(2)], has been found. It belongs to the triclinic P-1 space group, whereas the known form [Leoni, Sommovigo, Pasquali, Sabatino & Braga (1992 ?), J. Organo-met. Chem.423, 263-270] crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The title compound features a dinuclear palladium complex with a planar central Pd(2)(?-P)(2) core (r.m.s. deviation = 0.003?Å). The Pd-Pd distance of 2.5988?(5)?Å is within the range of a Pd(I)-Pd(I) bond. The mol-ecules of both polymorphs are located on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The mol-ecular conformations of the two polymorphs are essentially identical. The crystal packing patterns, on the other hand, are slightly different.

Project description:The title compound, [Co2{P(C6H5)2}2(C3H9P)4], was obtained by the addition of di-phenyl-phosphane to a solution of Co(CH3)(C3H9P)4. The dinuclear complex mol-ecule exhibits inversion symmetry with the inversion centre located between the two Co(I) atoms. The short Co-Co distance of 2.3670?(8)?Å lies within the range of metal-metal double bonds. As a result of inversion symmetry, the four-membered Co2P2 core is rigorously planar, and the two bridging P(C6H5)2-ligands and the terminal C3H9P ligands are arranged in a pseudo-tetra-hedral fashion about the Co(I) atom.

The cyclo-hexane ring is aligned with the Pd(II) coordination plane due to C-H activation in an equatorial position, giving a tri-equatorial conformation of the cyclo-hexyl ring.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pd(2)Cl(2)(C(20)H(26)P)(2)]·2CH(2)Cl(2), contains one half-mol-ecule of the palladium complex and a dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule. In the complex, two Pd(II) atoms are bridged by two Cl atoms, with the other two coordination sites occupied by a C atom of the biphenyl system and a P atom, resulting in a distorted square-planar coordination geometry of the Pd(II) atom and a cyclo-metallated four-membered ring. The Pd(2)Cl(2) unit is located about an inversion center. The planes of the rings of the biphenyl system make a dihedral angle of 66.36 (11)°.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni2(C22H46P2O2)2(CO)2], is located about a centre of inversion with the Ni(0) atom within a distorted trigonal-planar geometry. The cyclo-hexyl rings are in the usual chair conformation with the 1,3-cis substituents equatorially oriented. No specific inter-molecular inter-actions are noted in the crystal packing. A region of disordered electron density, most probably a disordered deuterobenzene solvent molecule, was treated using the SQUEEZE routine in PLATON [Spek (2009 ?). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. Its formula mass and unit-cell characteristics were not taken into account during refinement.

Project description:The title compound, [FePt(C(9)H(9)NO(2)S)(C(18)H(15)P)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(CO)(3)], represents a rare example of an isonitrile-bridged heterobimetallic complex (here Pt and Fe) and is an inter-esting precursor for the preparation of heterodinuclear ?-amino-carbyne complexes, since the basic imine-type N atom of the ?(2)-C=N-R ligand readily undergoes addition with various electrophiles to afford iminium-like salts. In the crystal, the almost symmetrically bridging ?(2)-C=N-R ligand (neglecting the different atomic radii of Fe and Pt) is strongly bent towards the Fe(CO)(3) fragment, with a C=N-R angle of only 121.1?(4)°.

Project description:The title compound, C(38)H(30)OP(2)S·CH(2)Cl(2), belongs to the xanthene family of ligands containing S- and O-donor atoms in the central heterocylic ring. Positions 2 and 8 on the xanthene backbone are functionalized with methyl groups to allow for the selective functionalization of the backbone at positions 4 and 6 with diphenyl-phosphanyl units. The title compound shows a significant 'roof-like' bending along the axis of planarity involving the O- and S-donor atoms and the benzene rings, resulting in a dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene rings of 32.88?(13)°.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title compound, C(64)H(62)N(4), the two phenyl-ethynyl groups lie at diagonal meso positions. The 24-membered porphyrin has in-plane distortion with respect to the mean plane of the macrocycle and two intra-ring bifurcated N-H?(N,N) hydrogen bonds occur. The dihedral angles between the phenyl rings in the phenyl-ethynyl group and the 3,5-bis-(tert-but-yl)phenyl group with respect to the mean plane of the porphyrin are 17.2?(2) and 59.2?(3)°. The tert-butyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.661?(13):0.339?(13) ratio.

Project description:The title centrosymmetric mol-ecule, C(46)H(42)Si(2), is composed of a central benzene ring with buta-1,3-diynyl chains at positions 1 and 4. These chains are terminated by tert-butyl-diphenyl-silyl groups, hence the molecule is dumbbell in shape. The mol-ecules are connected via C-H⋯π inter-actions in the structure, so forming an undulating two-dimensional network in the bc plane. There is also a weak π-π inter-action involving centrosymmetrically related phenyl rings with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.8359 (11) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pt(NO(3))(2)(C(42)H(42)O(2)P(4))(2)]·4CH(3)OH, the Pt atom positioned on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The two symmetry-equivalent nitrate anions are weakly coordinated to the Pt(II) ion, creating, together with four P ligand atoms, a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. In addition, several close C-H⋯O contacts between the nitrate O atoms and phenyl H atoms are found. Hydrogen bonds from two methanol solvent mol-ecules to one of the O-P groups complete the crystal structure.
