ABSTRACT: The title compound, [SnI(4)(C(25)H(22)O(2)P(2))]·CHCl(3), crystallized from a chloro-form solution of SnI(4) and the diphosphine CH(2)(PPh(2))(2) exposed to air. The monomeric complex displays a distorted octa-hedral coordinaton for the tin(IV) atom with average Sn-I and Sn-O bond lengths of 2.79?(2) and 2.15?(1)?Å, respectively.

Project description:In the title centrosymmetric mononuclear Zr(IV) compound, [ZrCl(4){P(O)(C(6)H(5))(2)P(C(6)H(5))(2)}(2)]·C(6)H(6), the central Zr(IV) ion is coordinated by two O atoms from two symmetry-related (diphenyl-phosphino)diphenyl-phosphine ligands and four Cl atoms in a distorted octahedral geometry with the four Cl atoms in the equatorial positions. The mol-ecule lies about a center of inversion and the benzene solvent mol-ecule about another center of inversion. The P=O bond [1.528 (2) Å] is slightly longer than a typical P=O double bond (average 1.500 ).

The Sn atom adopts an all-trans SnC(2)O(2)Cl(2) octa-hedral geometry. As a consequence of the bulky substituents at the O atom, the P-O-Sn bond angle is 163.9?(3)°.

Project description:The title stannoxane is a toluene-solvated dimer, [Sn(4)(C(7)H(6)Cl)(8)Cl(2)O(2)(OH)(2)]·C(7)H(8), the tetra-nuclear mol-ecule lying across a center of inversion. The Sn(4)O(4) framework, whose two independent Sn atoms show trigonal bipyramidal coordination, is essentially planar (r.m.s deviation = 0.02 Å). One of the two chloro-benzyl groups of the chloridodiorganyltin unit is disordered over two positions with the chloro-phenyl residue refined over two positions in a 50:50 ratio. The solvent mol-ecule is disordered about a twofold axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(60)H(88)O(4)·4CHCl(3)·2H(2)O, is the alkyl-ated product of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-calix[4]arene. It adopts a distorted cone conformation which leads to an open cavity. All the phenolic rings are tilted so that their tert-butyl groups are pitched away from the calix cavity. Two opposite aromatic rings are close to being perpendicular to one another [dihedral angle 85.0?(2)°], while the other pair of opposite rings is almost parallel [dihedral angle 8.1?(2)°], and adjacent phenolic rings are almost perpendicular [dihedral angles 82.4?(1) or 87.9?(1)°]. In the crystal, the water molecule and calixarene interact by way of O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title triangulo-triruthenium compound, [Ru(3)(C(25)H(22)As(2))(C(18)H(14)BrP)(CO)(9)]·0.3CHCl(3), contains one mol-ecule of the triangulo-triruthenium complex and one partially occupied disordered chloro-form solvent mol-ecule. The bis-(diphenyl-arsino)methane ligand bridges an Ru-Ru bond and the monodentate phosphine ligand bonds to the third Ru atom. Both the arsine and phosphine ligands are equatorial with respect to the Ru(3) triangle. In addition, each Ru atom carries one equatorial and two axial terminal carbonyl ligands. The phosphine-substituted benzene rings make dihedral angles of 67.5 (3), 76.1 (3) and 78.1 (3)° with each other. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings are 79.0 (4) and 81.4 (3)° for the two diphenyl-arsino groups. In the crystal packing, the mol-ecules are linked into chains along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Sn(C(44)H(28)N(4))(CH(3)O(3)S)(2)]·3CHCl(3), the Sn(IV) ion is located on an inversion center and is octa-hedrally coordinated. The porphyrin N atoms occupy the equatorial positions while the axial positions are occupied by the O atoms of the methane-sulfonate anions. The phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 77.02?(13) and 87.89?(14)° with the porphyrin ring. Of the three solvent chloro-form mol-ecules, one is disordered over a twofold rotation axis. In the crystal a three-dimensional assembly is accomplished via C-H?O hydrogen bonds between the H atoms of the phenyl groups in the porphyrin ring and the O atoms of the methane-sulfonate ligands.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(10)H(8)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]NO(2)·CHCl(3)·0.5H(2)O, the Cu atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by a bidentate 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and two PPh(3) ligands. The Cu-N and Cu-P distances are similar to those observed in similar compounds. The range of coordination angles shows a moderate distortion from ideal tetra-hedral geometry. The bipyridine ligand is twisted [14.2?(4)°] about the ring-ring C-C bond. The nitrate anion and the water and chloro-form mol-ecules of solvation are disordered. In the crystal structure, there are O(water)-H?O(nitrate), C-H?O(water) and C-H?O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.
