ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(5)H(11)N(5)O(2), contains two independent mol-ecules. The two triazine rings adopt envelope conformations. Intra-molecular C-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of two five- and two six-membered rings which are nearly planar; in addition, they are also nearly coplanar. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H?N, C-H?N and C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.

1,3,5-Tri-p-tolyl-pentane-1,5-diol.

Project description:In the title compound, C26H30O2, the central benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 14.85 (15) and 28.17 (14)° with the terminal benzene rings. The dihedral angle between the terminal benzene rings is 32.14 (13)°. The crystal packing exhibits two strong inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming directed four-membered co-operative rings. A region of disordered electron density, most probably disordered ethyl acetate solvent mol-ecules, occupying voids of ca 519 Å(3) for an electron count of 59, was treated using the SQUEEZE routine in PLATON [Spek (2009 ▶). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. Their formula mass and unit-cell characteristics were not taken into account during refinement. The structure was refined as an inversion twin [absolute structure parameter = -0.3 (4)].

3-Nitro-phenol-1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-tri-amine (2/1).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C3H6N6·2C6H5NO3, contains one melamine and two 3-nitro-phenol mol-ecules. The mean planes of the 3-nitro-phenol mol-ecules are almost orthogonal to the plane of melamine, making dihedral angles of 82.77 (4) and 88.36 (5)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via O-H⋯N, N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. The crystal also features weak C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9823 (9) Å].

Binary and ternary charge-transfer complexes using 1,3,5-tri-nitro-benzene.

Project description:Three binary and one ternary charge-transfer complexes have been made using 1,3,5-tri-nitro-benzene, viz. 1,3,5-tri-nitro-benzene-2-acetylnaphthalene (1/1), C6H3N3O6·C12H10O, (I), 1,3,5-tri-nitro-benzene-9-bromo-anthracene (1/1), C14H9Br·C6H3N3O6, (II), 1,3,5-tri-nitro-benzene-methyl red (1/1), C15H15N3O2·C6H3N3O6, (III) (systematic name for methyl red: 2-{(E)-[4-(di-methyl-amino)-phen-yl]diazen-yl}benzoic acid), and 1,3,5-tri-nitro-benzene-1-naphthoic acid-2-amino-5-nitro-pyridine (1/1/1), C6H3N3O6·C11H8O2·C5H5N3O2, (IV). All charge-transfer complexes show alternating donor and acceptor stacks, which have weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds perpendicular to the stacking axis. In addition, complex (IV) is a crystal engineering attempt to modify the packing of the stacks by inserting a third mol-ecule into the structure. This third mol-ecule is stabilized by strong hydrogen bonds between the carb-oxy-lic acid group of the donor mol-ecule and the pyridine acceptor mol-ecule.

Project description:7-Dimethyl-amino-2-phenyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazin-5-amine crystallized with one mol-ecule of methanol to give the title compound, C(12)H(13)N(7)·CH(3)OH. The triazolo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazine heterocyclic core is essentially planar as are both amino groups that are involved in ?-electron delocalization with the triazolo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazine nucleus. The methyl groups of the dimethyl-amino fragment are involved in the formation of weak intra-molecular C-H?N hydrogen bonds with the N atoms of the heterocyclic system. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds between the triazolo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazine mol-ecules. The methanol solvent mol-ecule also participates in the formation of the crystal structure via inter-molecular O-H?N, N-H?O and weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds, linking the layers of triazolo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazine mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title compound, C7H21B3N6O3, the r.m.s. deviation of the borazine ring atoms is 0.019?Å. The dimethyl-amino groups are orientated at 41.80?(7) and 36.43?(7)° with respect to the borazine ring. The nitro-oxy group is almost normal to the borazine ring [dihedral angle = 85.33?(14)°]. The methyl C atom trans to the NO3 group is displaced by -0.512?(3)?Å from the ring plane, whereas the two ortho-methyl C atoms are displaced by 0.239?(3) and 0.178?(3)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(10)H(12)N(6)·C(2)H(5)OH, the planarity of the heterocyclic system is slightly distorted at the triazine ring (r.m.s. deviation = 0.1191?Å), which adopts a conformation best described as inter-mediate between a flattened twisted boat and a half-boat with the tertiary Csp(3) atom at the bow. In the crystal, mol-ecules form centrosymmetric dimers connected by N?H-O and O?H-N hydrogen bonds between the amino group H atom, the ethanol solvent mol-ecule and the triazine N atom, making an R(4) (4)(12) graph-set motif. The other H atom of the amino group and the H atom on the endocyclic N atom form N?H-N hydrogen bonds with the N atoms of the pyrazole and pyridine rings, respectively, linking the mol-ecules into C(7)C(7) chains with the R(2) (2)(8) binary graph-set motif running along [010].

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(4), exists in the E configuration with respect to the central C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 2.17?(9)?Å. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via O-H?N hydrogen bonds into chains that propagate along the b-axis direction. There is also ?-? stacking of inversion-related mol-ecules, with inter-planar spacings of 3.479?(5)?Å and ring centroid-centroid distances of 3.876?(4)?Å.

Project description:The single-crystal structure of the title compound, C4H10N2·2C6F3I3, features a moderately strong halogen bond between one of the three crystallographically distinct iodine atoms and the nitro-gen atom. The iodine-nitro-gen distance is 2.820 (3) Å, corresponding to 80% of the sum of their van der Waals radii. The C-I⋯N halogen bond angle is 178.0 (1)°, consistent with the linear inter-action of nitro-gen via a σ-hole opposite the carbon-iodine covalent bond. The other two iodine atoms do not engage in halogen bonding. Some weak C-H⋯F and -H⋯I interactions are also observed. The complete piperazine molecule is generated by symmetry.
