4-Amino-pyridinium hydrogen succinate.

ABSTRACT: In the title salt, C(5)H(7)N(2) (+)·C(4)H(5)O(4) (-), the asymmetric unit comprises an amino-pyridinium cation and a hydrogen succinate anion as protonation of the aromatic N atom of the 4-amino-pyridine mol-ecule has occurred. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds that lead to a two-dimensional array. Short C-H⋯O contacts are also present.

Project description:In the title salt, C(5)H(6)ClN(2) (+)·C(4)H(5)O(4) (-), the pyridine N atom is protonated. The pyridinium and amino groups associate via a pair of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to the carboxyl-ate O atoms of the singly deprotonated succinate anion. The hydrogen succinate anions self-assemble via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along the b axis. The crystal structure is further stabilized by additional N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the second amino H atoms, as well as C-H⋯O contacts, forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the cation of the title mol-ecular salt, C5H6N3O2 (+)·C2HO4 (-), the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring and the nitro group is 3.5 (3)°; in the anion, the dihedral angle between the CO2 and CO2H planes is 10.5 (2)°. In the crystal, the anions are linked into [100] chains by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Project description:The title salt (I), C6H8N+·C20H17O8-, comprises a 2-methyl-pyridinium cation and a 2,3-bis-(4-methyl-benzo-yloxy)succinate mono-anion while the salt (II), 2C6H8N+·2C20H17O8-·5H2O, consists of a pair of 4-methyl-pyridinium cations and 2,3-bis-(4-methyl-benzo-yloxy)succinate mono-anions and five water mol-ecules of solvation in the asymmetric unit. In (I), the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings of the anion is 40.41 (15)°, comparing with 43.0 (3) and 85.7 (2)° in the conformationally dissimilar anion mol-ecules in (II). The pyridine ring of the cation in (I) is inclined at 23.64 (16) and 42.69 (17)° to the two benzene moieties of the anion. In (II), these comparative values are 4.7 (3), 43.5 (3)° and 43.5 (3), 73.1 (3)° for the two associated cation and anion pairs. The crystal packing of (I) is stabilized by inter-ionic N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds as well as weak C-H⋯π inter-actions, linking the ions into infinite chains along [100]. In the crystal packing of (II), the anions and cations are also linked by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving also the water mol-ecules, giving a two-dimensional network across (001). The crystal structure is also stabilized by weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

5-Amino-1H-pyrazol-2-ium hydrogen succinate.

Project description:In the cation of the title salt, C3H6N3 (+)·C4H5O4 (-), the protonated pyrazolium ring is planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.012 Å). An intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs in the anion. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and a weak C-H⋯O inter-action between the cations and anions form two sets of R 2 (2)(8) graph-set ring motifs. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between these lead to a criss-cross pattern along the b axis. In addition to the classical hydrogen bonds, a weak C-H⋯π(pyrazolium) inter-action is observed and contributes to crystal packing. All of these inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional supra-molecular framework parallel to (10-1).
