ABSTRACT: The complete molecule of the title compound, C(24)H(24)N(6)O(2), is generated by a crystallographic inversion centre. The benzotriazole rings form dihedral angles of 2.10?(7)° with the central aromatic ring. The crystal packing is consolidated by ?-? inter-actions, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.6234?(10)?Å, together with weak C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The imidazole ring in the title compound, C(27)H(22)N(8), adopts a slight envelope conformation with the C atom carrying the phenyl ring being the flap atom. The phenyl ring is almost perpendicular to the mean plane of the imidazole ring [dihedral angle = 88.90 (7)°]. The (1H-benzotriazol-1-yl)methyl groups bound to the imidazole ring are positioned on the same side of the imidazole ring. The dihedral angle between these benzotriazolyl rings is 17.71 (5)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by a C-H⋯π inter-action, which connects the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running along the b axis.

Project description:The cyclo-hexane ring in the title compound, C(21)H(24)N(8), adopts a chair conformation and the five-membered heterocyclic ring to which it is fused adopts a twist conformation on their common C-C bond. The substituents on the N atoms of the central five-membered heterocycle are arranged trans with respect to the central ring. The terminal benzotriazole rings are oriented at angles of 74.66 (8) and 84.18 (8)° with respect to the mean plane of the central heterocycle. The angle between the two benzotriazole rings is 30.80 (9)°. The bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges; the largest deviation from expecta-tion is for a long N-CH(2) bond length [1.476 (2) Å] as a consequence of an anomeric effect. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

The C-O bond of the hy-droxy group subtends an angle of 31.71 (10)° with the plane through the central aromatic ring. The crystal packing is mediated by the presence of several O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions and while the water mol-ecules form a C(2) (1)(4) chain parallel to the c axis of the unit cell, the pendant hy-droxy groups are engaged in O-H⋯O=C hydrogen bonds described by a C(1) (1)(12) graph-set motif which runs parallel to the a axis.
