ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Fe(C(22)H(24)N(2)O(4))]·H(2)O, the Fe(II) center is four-coordinated by two O and two N atoms from 2,2'-[6,6'-dimethoxy-cyclo-hexane-1,2-diylbis(nitrilo-methyl-idyne)]diphen-olate (L) ligands in a distorted square-planar geometry. Uncoordinated water and FeL mol-ecules are paired via inter-molecular water-meth-oxy O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

All atoms of the cyclo-hexane ring of the ligand mol-ecule are disordered over two sets of sites with equal occupancy.
