Bis[4-(dimethyl-amino)pyridinium] tetra-bromidobis(3,4-dichloro-phen-yl)stannate(IV)-1-bromo-3,4-dichloro-benzene (1/1).


ABSTRACT: The Sn atom in the title substituted pyridinium stannate bromo-3,4-dichloro-benzene solvate, (C(7)H(11)N(2))(2)[SnBr(4)(C(6)H(3)Cl(2))(2)]·C(6)H(3)BrCl(2), lies on a twofold axis within an octa-hedral C(2)Br(4) donor set. Each cation forms an N-H?Br hydrogen bond to one of the Br atoms of the anion. The solvent mol-ecule is disordered about the twofold rotation axis with equal occupancy. The crystal under investigation was non-merohedrally twinned, with a twin component ratio of 0.76:0.24.
