Poly[bis-[?(3)-2-(1H-tetra-zol-1-yl)acetato]cadmium(II)].

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Cd(C(3)H(3)N(4)O(2))(2)](n), the Cd(II) ion, located on a twofold rotation axis, is six-coordinated by two N atoms [Cd-N = 2.368?(2)?Å] and four O atoms [Cd-O = 2.300?(1) and 2.260?(1)?Å] from six 2-(1H-tetra-zol-1-yl)acetate (L) ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The metal centres are connected via the tridentate L ligands into a three-dimensional polymeric structure.

Project description:In the title dinuclear ionic complex, [Cd(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(H(2)O)(8)][Cd(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(8)(C(4)H(4)N(2))], the cation and anion are disordered equally over a site with symmetry mmm. The Cd(II) ions and the N atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on the inter-section of two crystallographic mirror planes. The C atoms of the bridging pyrazine ligand lie on one of these mirror planes, and the acetate groups and water mol-ecules lie across the inter-secting mirror planes. Each Cd(II) atom in the cation is five-coordinated by four O atoms from four water mol-ecules and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand, whereas each Cd(II) in the anion is nine-coordinated by four pairs of O atoms from the bidentate acetate ligands and one N atom from the bridging pyrazine ligand. In the crystal structure, each anion is surrounded by eight nearest-neighbour cations and vice versa. The crystal structure is stabilized by ionic inter-actions as well as by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, [Cd(2)(C(8)H(4)N(4)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n), is a coordination polymer prepared by the hydro-thermal reaction of cadmium(II) chloride and 2-(1H-tetra-zol-5-yl)benzoic acid. Two types of coordinated cadmium cations exist in the structure. One is located on a twofold axis and is coordinated by four O and two N atoms from four symmetry-related ligands, forming a trigonal-prismatic coordination polyhedron. The other is located on an inversion center and is octa-hedrally coordinated by two N and two O atoms from two ligands in equatorial sites, and two water mol-ecules in axial sites. The organic ligand bridges three Cd atoms, through a carboxyl-ate group and two N atoms of the tetra-zolate unit. This mode of coordination results in a two-dimensional framework. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, {[Cd(C(2)Cl(3)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(10)N(2))(2)]·H(2)O}(n), the Cd(II) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis and 1,2-bis-(4-pyrid-yl)ethene ligands bridge symmetry-related Cd(II) ions, forming a two-dimensional structure. Two trichloro-acetate ligands complete the coordination around the Cd(II )ion, forming a distorted octa-hedral environment. In the crystal, solvent water mol-ecules, which also lie on twofold rotation axes, form inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds, which connect the two-dimensional structure into a three-dimensional network. The crystal studied was an inversion twin, the refined ratio of twin components being 0.75?(4):0.25?(4).

The Cd(II) atoms are connected alternately by the Cl atoms and bbe ligands, leading to a chain along [001]. These chains are further linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds. Intra-chain N-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(5)H(4)N(10)·H(2)O, is composed of three five-membered rings that are essentially coplanar, the dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the tetra-zole rings being 3.5?(2) and 3.0?(2)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H?N, N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network. An intra-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bond is also present.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mg(H(2)O)(6)](C(9)H(7)N(4)O(2)S)(2), contains one-half of a [Mg(H(2)O)(6)](2+) cation ( symmetry) and one uncoordinated 2-[(1-phenyl-1H-tetra-zol-5-yl)sulfan-yl]acetate anion. The Mg(II) cation is coordinated by six water mol-ecules, exhibiting a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination. A two-dimensional network parallel to (001) is formed via extensive hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving the water mol-ecules as donors and the tetra-zole N and carboxyl-ate O atoms of the anion as acceptors. The shortest distance between two adjacent parallel benzene rings is 3.315?(2)?Å. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the tetra-zole ring is 40.98?(2)°.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(8)H(6)N(8)·2H(2)O, contains one half-mol-ecule, with the benzene ring on a centre of symmetry, and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The benzene ring is oriented at a dihedral angle of 34.43?(12)° with respect to the tetra-zole ring. Strong O-H?N hydrogen bonds link the water mol-ecules to the N atoms of the tetra-zole ring. In the crystal structure, strong inter-molecular O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a network. One of the water H atoms is disordered over two positions and was refined with occupancies of 0.50.
