Project description:In the title compound, C(27)H(16)F(6)N(2)O(6), the nitro groups are almost coplanar with the aromatic rings to which they are attached [dihedral angles = 3.5?(5) and 6.2?(3)°]. The dihedral angles between adjacent aromatic rings are 78.07?(8) and 71.11?(8)° for nitro-phen-yl/phenyl and 69.50?(8)° for phen-yl/phenyl. An inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action seems to be effective in the stabilization of the structure.

In the crystal structure, centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules form a dimer through C-H?? inter-molecular inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(8)N(2)O(8)S(2), the asymmetric unit contains two independent 2,2'-dinitro-5,5'-dithio-dibenzoic acid (Dina) mol-ecules with roughly the same conformation. In the crystal structure, strong inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds link the organic mol-ecules into a one-dimensional zigzag chain along the a axis. The dihedral angles between the two aromatic rings [109.3?(2) and 103.1?(3)°] are larger than that (88.95°) observed in a structure of the compound with a solvent water mol-ecule [Shefter & Kalman (1969), J. Chem. Soc. D, p. 1027]. Such a difference may be explained by the occurrence of O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule in the previously reported structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(13)H(14)N(2)·C(7)H(7)NO(2), the 4,4'-trimethyl-ene-dipyridine (TMDP) mol-ecule displays an approximately planar structure, the maximum atomic deviation excluding H atoms being 0.118?(2)?Å and the dihedral angle between the pyridine rings 4.59?(10)°. The TMDP and 4-amino-benzoic acid (ABA) mol-ecules are linked by O-H?N and N-H?N hydrogen bonding, while ABA mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonding. Project description:The crystal of the title Schiff base compound, C(19)H(20)Cl(2)N(2)O(2), contains of two crystallographically independent mol-ecules with similar conformations. In each mol-ecule, two intramolecular O-H⋯N bonds generate S(6) motifs. The N atoms are also in close proximity to two H atoms of the dimethyl-propane groups, with H⋯N distances between 2.59 and 2.62 Å. The imine group is coplanar with the benzene ring. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings in the two independent mol-ecules are 58.20 (12) and 47.95 (12)°. The structure displays short inter-molecular Cl⋯Cl [3.3869 (11) Å] and Cl⋯O [3.175 (2)-3.204 (2) Å] inter-actions. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O, C-H⋯π and π-π [centroid-centroid distances 3.6416 (13)-3.8705 (14) Å] inter-actions.
