ABSTRACT: The mol-ecular skeleton of the title mol-ecule, C(16)H(11)NO(3), is nearly planar with the two aromatic rings forming a dihedral angle of 2.73?(7)°. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into ribbons extended along [101]. The crystal packing exhibits also ?-? inter-actions, as indicated by the short centroid-centroid distances between the aromatic rings [3.681?(3)?Å] and between the aromatic and furan rings [3.811?(3)?Å] of neighbouring mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compounds, C13H8ClN3O6, (I), and C13H9N3O6, (II), differ in the orientation of the two aromatic rings. In (I), they are essentially coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 8.2 (1)°, while in (II), they are inclined to one another by 76.2 (1)°. The two nitro groups are essentially coplanar with the attached benzene rings, as indicated by the dihedral angles of 1.4 (2) and 2.3 (2)° in (I), and 4.96 (18) and 5.4 (2)° in (II). The carbamate group is twisted slightly from the attached benzene ring, with a C-N-C-O torsion angle of -170.17 (15)° for (I) and 168.91 (13)° for (II). In the crystals of of both compounds, mol-ecules are linked via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along [010]. In (I), C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds also link mol-ecules within the chains. The crystal packing in (I) also features a very weak π-π inter-action [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7519 (9) Å].

Project description:In the title compound, C(24)H(15)BrO(2)S, the sulfinyl O atom and the phenyl group of the phenyl-sulfinyl substituent lie on opposite sides of the plane through the naphthofuran fragment. The phenyl ring is nearly perpendicular to the plane of the tricyclic naphthofuran system [81.77?(6)°] and is tilted slightly towards it. The 4-bromo-phenyl ring is rotated out of the naphthofuran plane by a dihedral angle of 31.12?(4)°. In the crystal structure, non-classical inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?Br hydrogen bonds are observed. The crystal structure also exhibits aromatic ?-? inter-actions between the furan ring and the central benzene ring of the adjacent naphthofuran system [centroid-centroid distance = 3.768?(3)?Å]. Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(13)ClN(4)O(2), was synthesized by the condensation of 4-nitro-benzohydrazide and N-(4-chlorophen-yl)-benzimidoyl chloride in N,N-dimethyl-acetamide. The asymmetric unit contains two independent mol-ecules. In one molecule, the triazole ring is oriented at dihedral angles of 23.1?(5), 85.4?(1) and 10.5?(1)° with respect to the phenyl, chlorophenyl and nitrophenyl rings, respectively. In the other molecule, the corresponding dihedral angles are 29.8?(9), 73.4?(7) and 16.4?(3)°.
