N'-(2,4-Dichloro-benzyl-idene)-3-methoxy-benzohydrazide.

ABSTRACT: There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(15)H(12)Cl(2)N(2)O(2). The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 27.6?(4)° in one mol-ecule and 16.4?(4)° in the other. Both mol-ecules adopt an E configuration about the C=N bonds. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming chains in the a-axis direction.
