ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Cu(N(3))(2)(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)], the Cu(II) ion resides on a centre of symmetry and is in a Jahn-Teller distorted octa-hedral coordination environment comprising two N atoms from azide anions in axial positions and four N atoms from propane-1,3-diamine (tn) ligands in equatorial positions. Inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds produce R(2) (1)(6), R(2) (2)(8), R(2) (2)(12) and R(4) (2)(8) rings, generating a two-dimensional layer.

Project description:The ionic Ni(II) title complex, [Ni(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)][Ni(SO(4))(2)(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)], is built up of [Ni(dipr)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) complex cations and [Ni(dipr)(2)(SO(4))(2)](2-) complex anions (dipr is propane-1,3-diamine). Both Ni(II) atoms display a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination and are located on inversion centers. There are several types of hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, which connect complex cations and anions into a two-dimensional network parallel to (010). Hydrogen bonds formed by the axially coordinated water mol-ecule of the complex cation and one of the O atoms of the sulfate groups of the complex anion (first type) link them into chains along the c axis. These chains are linked to each other through hydrogen bonds formed by an O atom (second type) of the SO(4) groups and NH(2) groups of the ligand of the complex cations from neighboring chains, forming a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonded net perpendicular to the b axis. The third type of O atoms of the sulfate groups of the complex anion are also linked into chains by a combination of both previously described types of H-atom connections.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)NO(3)S)(2)]·2H(2)O, the Cu(II) atom lies on an inversion center and is hexa-coordinated by four N atoms from two 1,3-diamino-propane ligands and two O atoms from two 4-amino-benzene-sulfonate ligands in a trans arrangement, displaying a distorted and axially elongated octa-hedral coordination geometry, with the O atoms at the axial positions. A three-dimensional network is formed in the crystal structure through O-H?O, N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ni(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](C(4)O(4))·4H(2)O, contains one-half of the diaqua-bis(1,3-propane-diamine)nickel(II) cation, one-half of the centrosymmetric squarate anion and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. In the cation, the Ni(II) atom is located on a crystallographic inversion centre and has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The six-membered chelate ring adopts a chair conformation. O-H?O hydrogen bonds link the cation and anion through the water mol-ecule, while N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the cation and anion and cation and water mol-ecules. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network structure.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ni(C(7)H(4)NO(3)S)(2)(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)] or [Ni(sac)(2)(pen)(2)] (sac = saccharinate or 1,1,3-trioxo-2,3-dihydro-1?(6,2)-benzothia-zol-2-ide and pen = propane-1,3-diamine), the Ni(II) ion sits on an inversion center, being coordinated by two N atoms of the sac ligands, which occupy trans positions, and four N atoms of the bidentate pen ligands to define a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The pen ligands chelate the metal ion, forming a six-membered ring which adopts a half-chair conformation, while the sac ligands adopt the most common coordination mode. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, which form a one-dimensional network along [010]. It is also supported by an N-H?S hydrogen bond between the amine group of the pen ligand and the sulfonyl group of the sac ligand.

Project description:The ionic title complex, [Cu(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)][Cr(NCS)(4)(NH(3))(2)]·8C(2)H(6)OS, consists of complex [Cu(dipr)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) copper cations (dipr is propane-1,3-diamine), complex [Cr(NCS)(4)(NH(3))(2)](-) anions and uncoord-inated solvent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) mol-ecules. All the metal atoms lie on crystallographic centers of symmetry. The cations are connected to the anions through N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the NH(3) mol-ecules of the anion and the water mol-ecules of the cation. The DMSO mol-ecules are involved in hydrogen-bonded linkage of the [Cr(NCS)(4)(NH(3))(2)](-) anions into supra-molecular chains through bridging O atoms. A network of hydrogen bonds as well as short S?S contacts [3.5159?(12) and 3.4880?(12)?Å] between the NCS groups of the complex anions link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(C(2)O(4))(C(3)H(10)N(2))(2)]Cl·H(2)O, there are two independent Mn(III) complexes, two Cl(-) anions and two uncoordinated water mol-ecules. Each Mn(III) atom is hexa-coordinated by four N atoms from two propane-1,3-diamine ligands and two O atoms from one oxalate ligand, resulting in a slightly distorted octa-hedral MnO(2)N(4) geometry. Mn-O and Mn-N bond lengths are in the ranges 1.969 (2)-2.020 (3) and 2.068 (3)-2.113 (4) Å, respectively. There are weak inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds with D⋯A distances in the range 2.831 (4)-3.423 (3) Å.
