(Acetyl-acetone isonicotinoylhydrazonato-?O,N',O')dioxidovanadate(V) monohydrate.

ABSTRACT: The hydrazone anion in the title compound, [V(C(11)H(12)N(3)O(2))O(2)]·H(2)O, is zwitterionic as its pyridyl N atom is protonated; the O, N and O' atoms span the axial-equatorial-axial positions of the trigonal-bipyramidal coord-in-ation polyhedron of the metal atom. All non-H atoms lie on a crystallographic mirror plane apart from the oxide ligands, which are related by mirror symmetry. The pyridinium N atom acts as a hydrogen-bond donor to the solvent water mol-ecule, which is in turn a hydrogen-bond donor to the both oxide ligands. These hydrogen-bonding inter-actions give rise to a three-dimensional network motif.

Project description:The title compound, C24H33NO4·H2O, the reaction product of de-acetyl-cinobufagin with ammonium acetate, consists of three cyclo-hexane rings (A, B and C), one five-membered ring (D), one six-membered lactone ring (E) and an epoxide ring (F). The stereochemistry of the ring junctures are A/B cis, B/C trans, C/D cis and D/F cis. Cyclo-hexane rings A, B and C have normal chair conformations. The five-membered ring D adopts an envelope conformation (with the C atom bearing the lactone ring as the flap) and the lactone ring E is planar. In the crystal, hy-droxy and water O-H⋯O and amine N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving carbonyl, hy-droxy and water O-atom acceptors link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(23)H(33)N(2))[Li(C(32)H(16)N(8))]·0.5C(3)H(6)O·H(2)O, consists of two symmetry-unrelated lithium phthalocyanine (LiPc(-)) half-anions, centered at (1,0,0) and (0,,0), respectively, the bis-(adamant-yl)imidazolium cation (BAI(+)), occupying a general site, an acetone mol-ecule, disordered about the inversion centre at (0, , ) and a water mol-ecule at a general site. The LiPc(-) anions pack in a stepped pattern enclosing the bis-(adamant-yl)imidazolium cation. Attractions between the anion and cation are mediated by a water mol-ecule which forms O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. In addition, two C-H⋯O interactions are seen.

A new lanthanum(III) complex containing acetyl-acetone and 1<i>H</i>-imidazole.

Project description:In the title complex, di-aqua-(1H-imidazole-?N3)(nitrato-?2O,O')bis-(4-oxo-pent-2-en-2-olato-?2O,O')lanthanum(III), [La(C5H7O2)2(NO3)(C3H4N2)(H2O)2], the La atom is coordinated by eight O atoms of two acetyl-acetonate (acac) anions acting as bidentate ligands, two water mol-ecule as monodentate ligands, one nitrate anions as a bidentate ligand and one N atom of an imidazolate (ImH) molecule as a monodentate ligand. Thus, the coordination number of the La atom is nine in a monocapped square anti-prismatic polyhedron. There are three types of inter-molecular hydrogen bonds between ligands, the first involving nitrate-water O?H-O inter-actions running along the [001] direction, the second involving acac-water O?H-O inter-actions along the [010] direction and the third involving an Im-nitrate N-H?O inter-action along the [100] direction (five inter-actions of this type). Thus, an overall one-dimensional network structure is generated. The mol-ecular plane of an ImH molecule is almost parallel to that of a nitrate ligand, making an angle of only 6.04?(12)°. Inter-estingly, the ImH plane is nearly perpendicular to the planes of two neighbouring acac ligands.

Project description:The binuclear title compound, [Hf(2)(C(5)HF(6)O(2))(6)(OH)(2)]·C(3)H(6)O, contains an Hf(IV) atom which is eight coordinated and surrounded by three chelating ?-diketonato 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexa-fluoro-acetyl-acetonate (hfaa) ligands and two bridging OH groups situated on a twofold rotation axis. The HfO(8) coordination polyhedron shows a slightly distorted Archimedean square anti-prismatic coordination with average Hf-O, C-O, C-C(Me) distances of 2.19?(2), 1.26?(2) and 1.49?(2)?Å, respectively, and an O-Hf-O bite angle of 75.3?(5)°. Weak O-H?O hydrogen bonding inter-actions are observed between one of the bridging hydr-oxy groups and the disordered solvent mol-ecule.

Project description:In the title complex salt, [Au2{(C6H5)2PCH2P(C6H5)2}]Cl2·(CH3)2C=O·H2O, the dication forms an eight-membered {-PCPAu}2 ring with a transannular aurophilic inter-action [Au⋯Au = 2.9743 (2) Å]. The ring approximates a flattened boat conformation, with the two methyl-ene C atoms lying ca 0.58-0.59 Å above the least-squares plane defined by the Au2P4 atoms (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0849 Å). One Cl(-) anion functions as a weak bridge between the Au(I) atoms [Au⋯Cl = 2.9492 (13) and 2.9776 (12) Å]. The second Cl(-) anion forms two (water)O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds about a centre of inversion, forming a centrosymmetric eight-membered {⋯HOH⋯Cl}2 supra-molecular square. Globally, the dications and loosely associated Cl(-) anions assemble into layers lying parallel to the ac plane, being connected by C-H⋯Cl,π(phen-yl) inter-actions. The supra-molecular squares and solvent acetone mol-ecules are sandwiched in the inter-layer region, being connected to the layers on either side by C-H⋯Cl,O(acetone) inter-actions.

In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H?O, O-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating [100] chains incorporating R 4 (4)(10) loops. A weak C-H?O inter-action helps to consolidate the packing.
