ABSTRACT: The S-N(H)-N=C linkage in the title mol-ecule, C(12)H(12)N(2)O(2)S(2), is non-planar [torsion angle = 15.5 (1)°] as the amino N atom is pyramidally coordinated. The amino group acts as a hydrogen-bond donor to an O atom of an adjacent mol-ecule, generating chains running parallel to the c axis.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(14)N(2)O(2)S, a novel sulfonamide derivative, an intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(5) ring motif. The mol-ecule adopts a twisted E configuration around the C=N bond. An inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif. The dihedral angle between the rings is 85.37 (9)°. The H atoms of the methyl group have rotational disorder with refined site occupancies of ca 0.63/0.37. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link neighbouring mol-ecules into dimers which stack along the a axis with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.8856 (10) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(13)N(3)O(3)S, the C-S-N(H)-N linkage is non-planar, the torsion angle being -65.12 (13)° and the S atom showing a tetra-hedral environment. The compound has two almost planar fragments linked to the S atom: the isatin-derivative fragment [(C(8)H(5)NO)N-N(H)-] and the tolyl fragment [C(7)H(7)-] have maximum deviations from the mean plane through the non-H atoms of 0.0813 (13) and 0.0094 (16) Å, respectively, and make an inter-planar angle of 80.48 (3)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected into inversion dimers via pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Additionally, the mol-ecular structure is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(16)H(12)N(2)O(2)S, contains three independent mol-ecules. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds in the three mol-ecules lead to very similar conformations: the thio-pene ring and naphthalene ring system in the three mol-ecules form dihedral angles of 10.3 (2), 9.1 (2) and 9.3 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains propagating in [031].

Project description:In the title compound, C(18)H(16)N(2)O(3)S, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzene ring and the naphthyl ring system is 83.37 (10)°. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond occurs. Inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure. Project description:The title compound, C20H17ClN2O2S, was obtained by a condensation reaction between 4-chloro-benzo-phenone and tosyl hydrazide. The plane of the methyl-substituted benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 20.12 (12) and 78.43 (13)° with those of the chlorine-substituted benzene ring and the benzene ring, respectively, with the last two rings forming a dihedral angle of 67.81 (13)°. The chlorine substituent was also found to be 0.868 (2):0.132 (2) disordered over these two rings. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, giving centrosymmetric cyclic dimers [graph set R 2 (2)(8)], which are linked by weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions into a chain structure which extends along the a-axis direction.

Project description:The title compound, C14H13ClN2O2S, crystallized in the enanti-omorphic defining hexa-gonal space group P61 [Flack parameter = -0.02?(7)]. The partially hydrated form of the same compound, crystallizing in the triclinic space group P-1, has been reported previously [Kia et al. (2009b). Acta Cryst. E65, o1119], as has the crystal structure of the bromo derivative, also crystallizing in the space group P-1 [Kia et al. (2009a). Acta Cryst. E65, o821]. The title mol-ecule is non-planar with the planes of the benzene rings being inclined to one another by 76.62?(13)°, and has an E conformation about the C=N bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via N-H?O hydrogen bonds forming 61 helical chains running along [001]. The chains are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, C-H?? inter-actions and short Cl?O [3.015?(3)?Å] inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional structure.
