Bis[(2-amino-phen-yl)methanol-κO,N]bis-(nitrato-κO)manganese(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Mn(NO(3))(2)(C(7)H(9)NO)(2)], the Mn(II) atom (site symmetry 2) is coordinated by two N,O-bidentate (2-amino-phen-yl)methanol ligands and two monodentate nitrate anions in a distorted cis-MnN(2)O(4) octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal, N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds help to establish the packing.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(NO(3))(2)(C(7)H(9)NO)(2)], contains one-half of the mol-ecule. The Co(II) atom (site symmetry 2) is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral configuration bonded by two N and two O atoms from two (2-amino-phen-yl)methanol ligands and two O atoms from the two nitrate anions. Crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of title compound, [La(NO(3))(3)(C(15)H(15)NO(2))(2)(CH(3)OH)], consists of two Schiff base 2-meth-oxy-6-[(4-methyl-phen-yl)iminiometh-yl]phenolato (HL) ligands, three independent nitrate anions and one methanol mol-ecule coordinated to La(III). The coordination environment of the La(III) ion is formed by eleven O atoms. Three bidentate nitrate anions coordinate to the La(III) ion, while two HL ligands chelate the metal center with O atoms from the phenolate and meth-oxy groups. The HL ligands are zwitterionic, with protonated imine N atoms. The coordination sphere is completed by one methanol mol-ecule. The protonated imine N atoms are involved in intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with the phen-oxy groups and nitrate ligands. One O atom of one nitrate group is disordered over two sites of equal occupancy.

Project description:The Schiff base 6-meth-oxy-2-[(4-methyl-phen-yl)imino-meth-yl]-phenol (HL) forms a neutral complex with cadmium(II) nitrate, [Cd(NO(3))(2)(C(15)H(15)NO(2))(2)], in which the four O atoms of the two independent ligands are coordinated to the metal center and the protonated imine N atoms are involved in a hydrogen bond with the phenoxide group. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions stabilize the structure. Each organic ligand assumes a zwitterionic form, chelating to the metal atom through the two O atoms, while the two nitrate groups also exhibit chelating behavior, leading to a distorted octahedral coordination of the Cd atom.

Project description:The title complex, [Cd(2)(NO(3))(4)(C(24)H(16)N(6))(CH(4)O)(2)], displays a centrosymmetric dinuclear structure, in which the 2,3,5,6-tetra-2-pyridinylpyrazine (tppz) ligand links two Cd ions separated by 7.323 (4) Å. Each Cd(II) center is seven-coordinated by three N-atom donors of tppz in one plane, by two O atoms nearly normal to this plane, and by two O atoms 0.393 (3) and 0.488 (3) Å from that plane. The two Cd(II) ions are above and below the plane of the pyrazine ring of the tppz ligand, oriented with respect to the pyridine rings at dihedral angles of 38.01 (3) and 31.90 (3)°. The dihedral angle between the two pyridine rings is 41.11 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title binuclear complex, [Cu2(NO3)3(C18H16N6Se)(H2O)3]NO3·H2O, the Cu(II) ions are penta-coordinated in a tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry. In both cases, the equatorial planes are formed by a chelating pyrazole-pyridine group, a water mol-ecule and a nitrate O atom, whereas the apical positions are occupied by a water mol-ecule for one Cu(II) ion and a nitrate O atom for the other. The organic selenide ligand adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C-Se-C plane. Numerous inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the coordinating and lattice water mol-ecules, nitrate anions and pyrazole groups are observed. π-π stacking inter-actions between the pyridine rings [averaged centroid-centroid distance = 3.652 (5) Å] are also present. The lattice water molecule is equally disordered over two sets of sites.

Project description:The whole mol-ecule of the title compound, [Mn(NCS)2(CH3OH)2(C5H6N2)2], is generated by inversion symmetry. The Mn(II) ion, which is located on an inversion center, is coordinated by two 4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridine ligands, two methanol ligands and two terminally N-bonded thio-cyanate anions, forming a slightly distorted octa-hedron. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming chains extending along the a-axis direction.

Project description:The title compound, [Mn(C(10)H(6)NO(2))(2)(CH(4)O)(2)], was obtained unintentionally as the product of an attempt to synthesize a polynuclear carboxyl-ate bridged manganese(III/IV) complex, using methanol to reduce the permanganate ion. The mol-ecule is centrosymmetric; the pairs of equivalent ligands coordinate trans to each other in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Intra-molecular C-H⋯O bonds lying in the equatorial plane stabilize the mol-ecule. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, creating a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. π-π and C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed. The dihedral angle and centroid-to-centroid distance between the pyridine ring (A) and the benzene ring (B(i)) of a symmetrically related mol-ecule [symmetry code: (i) -1 - x, -y, -z] are 1.27 (11)° and 3.974 (2) Å, respectively. For the C-H⋯π inter-actions, the relevant distances and angles are: C⋯Cg[A(ii)] = 3.643 (2) Å, H⋯Cg[A(ii)] = 2.750 (2) Å and C-H⋯Cg[A(ii)] = 155 (1)° [symmetry code: (ii) x, -1 + y, z].
