Bis[(2-amino-phen-yl)methanol-κN,O]bis-(nitrato-κO)cobalt(II).

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(NO(3))(2)(C(7)H(9)NO)(2)], contains one-half of the mol-ecule. The Co(II) atom (site symmetry 2) is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral configuration bonded by two N and two O atoms from two (2-amino-phen-yl)methanol ligands and two O atoms from the two nitrate anions. Crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The water-coordinated Zn atom in the title monoaqua zinc nitrate adduct of 2-amino-pyrimidine, [Zn(NO(3))(2)(C(4)H(5)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)], is bonded to a monodentate nitrate ion and is chelated by the other nitrate ion. The heterocyclic ligands coordinate through ring N-donor sites. The coordination geometry about the Zn(II) atom is a distorted octa-hedron. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, adjacent adduct mol-ecules are linked by O-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a layer motif parallel to (001).

Project description:The title complex, [Cd(2)(NO(3))(4)(C(24)H(16)N(6))(CH(4)O)(2)], displays a centrosymmetric dinuclear structure, in which the 2,3,5,6-tetra-2-pyridinylpyrazine (tppz) ligand links two Cd ions separated by 7.323 (4) Å. Each Cd(II) center is seven-coordinated by three N-atom donors of tppz in one plane, by two O atoms nearly normal to this plane, and by two O atoms 0.393 (3) and 0.488 (3) Å from that plane. The two Cd(II) ions are above and below the plane of the pyrazine ring of the tppz ligand, oriented with respect to the pyridine rings at dihedral angles of 38.01 (3) and 31.90 (3)°. The dihedral angle between the two pyridine rings is 41.11 (3)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.

Project description:The title cocrystal, [Cu(2)(C(2)O(4))(NO(3))(2)(C(7)H(9)N(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)][Cu(2)(C(2)O(4))(NO(3))(2)(C(7)H(9)N(3))(2)(CH(4)O)(2)], is a 1:1 cocrystal of two centrosymmetric Cu(II) complexes with oxalate dianions and Schiff base ligands. In each mol-ecule, the Cu(II) centre is in a distorted octa-hedral cis-CuN(2)O(4) environment, the donor atoms of the N,N'-bidentate Schiff base ligand and the bridging O,O'-bidentate oxalate group lying in the equatorial plane. In one mol-ecule, a monodentate nitrate anion and a water mol-ecule occupy the axial sites, and in the other, a monodentate nitrate anion and a methanol mol-ecule occupy these sites. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a network. Weak intra-molecular N-H⋯O inter-actions are also observed.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cd(NO3)2(C13H11N3)2], the CdII atom lies on a twofold rotation axis and is coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms, provided by two bidentate 2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)aniline ligands, and two nitrato O atoms, forming a distorted octa-hedral geometry [range of bond angles around the Cd atom = 73.82 (2)-106.95 (8)°]. In the ligand, the dihedral angle between the aniline ring and the benzimidazole ring system is 30.43 (7)°. The discrete complex mol-ecule is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional network.
