ABSTRACT: In the title coordination polymer, {[Nd(C(5)H(2)N(3)O(6))(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(4)]·4H(2)O}(n), the oxalate dianions link adjacent nine-coordinate, tricapped trigonal-prismatic Nd(III) atoms into a chain running along the b axis. The 3,5-dinitropyridin-4-oxido N-oxide ligand is formally a zwitterionic anion; the anion binds to the metal atom through the N-oxide O atom. The chains are connected into a three-dimensional network by O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, [Nd(C(8)H(6)NO(4))(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)](n), is a layer-like coordination polymer. The Nd(III) ion is coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from three bridging 5-aza-nium-yl-isophthalate (Haip) ligands, four carboxyl-ate O atoms from two oxalate (ox) anions and one ligated water mol-ecule in a tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The Haip anion acts as a ?(3)-bridge, connecting three Nd(III) ions through two carboxyl-ate groups; the ox anion adopts a bis-bidentate-bridging mode, linking two Nd(III) ions. Project description:The polymeric title compound, [Ce(C(7)H(3)N(2)O(6))(3)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)](n), exists as a linear chain along [111] as the three dinitro-benzoate anions each engages in bridging adjacent dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) coordinated Ce(III) atoms. The metal atoms are surrounded by eight O atoms in a square-anti-prismatic environment. There are two independent formula units in the asymmetric unit. The S atoms of two of the four DMSO mol-ecules are disordered in a 0.926?(3):0.074?(3) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, [Sr(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(6))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n), essentially consists of a one-dimensional polymeric network with Sr(2)O(2) rings extending along the [100] direction. The range of Sr-O bond lengths is 2.4822?(13)-2.8113?(13)?Å. C-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions stabilize the mol-ecules in the form of a two-dimensional polymeric network parallel to (001). One of the nitro groups is disordered over three sets of sites with the occupancy ratio of 0.46:0.32:0.22.

The Nd(III) atom is eight-coordinated in a distorted square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry by four O atoms from two oxalate ligands and four O atoms from four nicotinate ligands. The Ag(I) atom has a T-shaped configuration, defined by two N atoms from two nicotinate ligands and one O atom from one oxalate ligand. The nicotinate and oxalate ligands link the Nd and Ag atoms into a three-dimensional coordination framework. O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds donated by water mol-ecules are observed in the crystal.

The Rb(+) cation is nine-coordinated by O atoms from four 3,5-dinitro-benzoate anions and three neutral 3,5-dinitro-benzoic acid ligands. Project description:In the title compound, {[AgSm(C(6)H(4)NO(2))(2)(C(2)O(4))]·H(2)O}(n), the asymmetric unit contains one Sm(III) ion, one Ag(I) ion, two unique isonicotinate (ina) ligands, two half oxalate (ox) ligands (one on an inversion centre, the other on a twofold axis) and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule. The central Sm(III) ion is nine-coordinated by four O-donor atoms from separate bidentate bridging ox ligands and five O-donor atoms from the two ina ligands (both bidentate) and a symmetry-related ina ligand [Sm-O = 2.389?(4)-2.791?(4)?Å], giving a distorted monocapped square anti-prismatic geometry. The Ag(I) ion is three-coordinated in a T-shaped geometry involving two ina N-donor atoms [Ag-N = 2.181?(6) and 2.185?(5)?Å] and a bridging oxalate O-donor atom [Ag-O = 2.620?(4)?Å]. The three-dimensional heterometallic Sm-Ag coordination polymer, having a unique (3,4,6)-connected five-nodal net topology, is constructed from two-dimensional samarium-oxalate layers and pillared Ag(ina)(2) subunits. Inter-molecular water-carboxyl-ate O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions are also present.

The Ag(I) ion is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two N atoms from two monodentate 2-pzc ligands, one O atom from one monodentate oxalate ligand and one O atom of a bridging carboxyl-ate group of a 2-pzc ligand. The oxalate anions link neighbouring neodymium(III) metal centres into Nd-oxalate chains, which are inter-connected by Ag(2-pyz)(2) units, forming a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Inter-molecular O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

The coordin-ation sphere about one Co(II) atom comprises four O-atom donors from two bidentate chelate (O(phenolate) and O(carbox-yl)) and bridging dianionic ligands and two water mol-ecules [Co-O range = 2.0249?(11)-2.1386?(14)?Å], while that about the second Co(II) atom has four water mol-ecules and two bridging carboxyl-ate O-donor atoms [Co-O range = 2.0690?(14)-2.1364?(11)?Å]. The coordinated water mol-ecules as well as the water mol-ecules of solvation give O-H?O water-water and water-carboxyl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions in the three-dimensional framework structure.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Ag(2)(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(6))(2)](n), the silver ion is coordinated to three O atoms from three different anions in an approximate T-shape with one bond much longer than the other two. The polyhedral connectivity leads to [100] chains containing alternating centrosymmetric four-rings and eight-rings, with a short d(10)?d(10) Ag?Ag interaction [2.8846?(4)?Å] across the latter. The nitro groups are oriented at dihedral angles of 21.2?(5) and 64.3?(3)° with respect to the aromatic ring of the ligand. A C-H?O inter-action occurs in the crystal.
