Project description:IN THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: (tert-butyl-dimethyl-silyl)methane-triyl tris-(4-methyl-benzene-sulfonate)], C(32)H(44)O(10)S(3)Si, the central C atom and the Si(IV) center are in a tetra-hedral configuration. The inter-planar angles between pairs of the three benzene rings of the 4-methyl-phenyl-sulfonyl units are 41.15?(10), 18.11?(10) and 44.09?(10)°. C-H?? inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure. Mol-ecules are linked into screw chains along the b axis by weak C-H?O inter-actions. Weak intramolecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds are also present.

Project description:The title compound, [Ti(C(10)H(15))(C(20)H(26)Si)], was obtained from the reaction of [Ti{?(5):?(1)-C(5)Me(4)(CH(2))}(?(5)-C(5)Me(5))] with the alkynylsilane PhC(2)SiMe(2)H. The complex crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, which differ in the conformation of the propenyl unit, resulting in their having opposite helicity. No inter-molecular inter-actions or inter-actions involving the Si-H bond are present. The observed geometrical parameters are unexceptional compared to known structures of the same type.

In the ligand, the dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings in the 9,10-dihydro-phenanthren unit is 20.64?(12)°.

The bound bipyridine ligands have N-C-C-N torsion angles of 13.1 (9) and -12.1 (8)°. The structure also contains an uncoordinated 5,5'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine molecule with an N-C-C-N torsion angle of 169.5 (7)°. The triply bridged Yb centers are 3.5990 (4) Å apart. The Yb-N bond lengths are in the range 2.389 (6)-2.424 (5) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(6)F(5)NS, the environment of the S atom is roughly octa-hedral. The axial F-S bond appears slightly elongated with respect to the four equatorial F-S bonds. Equatorial F atoms are staggered with respect to the benzene ring. The N atom is displaced from the benzene plane by 0.154 (4) Å. The F-S-C-C torsion angles differ greatly from the values observed in the related structure of 4-acetamido-phenyl-sulfur penta-fluoride. The packing is stabil-ized by weak N-H⋯F contacts.

Tethering the Cp*Ru group to one aryl ring of benzophenone results in average values of 1.42?(1) and 1.38?(1)?Å for the C-C bond lengths in the Ru-tethered and untethered phenyl rings, respectively. The dihedral angle between the benzene and phenyl rings of the benzophenone group is 50.5?(1)°.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title cocrystal, [Sn(CH(3))(C(6)H(5))Cl(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·C(10)H(20)O(5), contains two independent for-mula units. The organotin molecules exhibit a six-coordinate metal atom and are linked to the crown ether molecules by water-crown ether O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a linear chain running along [101]. Each coordinated water mol-ecule forms a pair of hydrogen bonds to the same crown ether; for the crown ether mol-ecules, only four of the five O atoms are engaged in hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. The metal ions show a distorted trans-C(2)SnCl(2)O(2) octa-hedral coordination geometry [C-Sn-C = 175.3 (1) and 178.9 (1)°].
