4-Amino-phenyl-sulfur penta-fluoride.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(6)H(6)F(5)NS, the environment of the S atom is roughly octa-hedral. The axial F-S bond appears slightly elongated with respect to the four equatorial F-S bonds. Equatorial F atoms are staggered with respect to the benzene ring. The N atom is displaced from the benzene plane by 0.154?(4)?Å. The F-S-C-C torsion angles differ greatly from the values observed in the related structure of 4-acetamido-phenyl-sulfur penta-fluoride. The packing is stabil-ized by weak N-H?F contacts.

Twinned caesium cerium(IV) penta-fluoride.

Project description:Single-crystals of CsCeF5 were synthesized hydro-thermally. The crystal under investigation was twinned by pseudo-merohedry with a twofold rotation around the c axis as an additional twinning operation. The crystal structure is built of layers of distorted edge- and corner-sharing CeF8 square-anti-prisms. The Cs(+) cations are located between the layers and exhibit coordination numbers of nine. Upon compression, CsCeF5 undergoes an irreversible phase transition at about 1 GPa.

Introducing SuFNucs: Sulfamoyl-Fluoride-Functionalized Nucleosides That Undergo Sulfur Fluoride Exchange Reaction.

Project description:The reaction between ribonucleosides and ex situ generated sulfonyl fluoride has been developed. The reaction takes place at the -NH2 groups of nucleobases, and the resulting nucleosides are equipped with a sulfamoyl fluoride moiety, dubbed SuFNucs. These species undergo a selective sulfur fluoride exchange (SuFEx) reaction with various amines, leading to sulfamide-functionalized derivatives of adenosine, guanosine, and cytidine (SulfamNucs). The scope and examples of further SuFNucs fuctionalization leading to nucleotides, oligonucleotides, and peptide-nucleoside conjugates are presented.

The organotin molecules exhibit a six-coordinate metal atom and are linked to the crown ether molecules by water-crown ether O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a linear chain running along [101]. Each coordinated water mol-ecule forms a pair of hydrogen bonds to the same crown ether; for the crown ether mol-ecules, only four of the five O atoms are engaged in hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. The metal ions show a distorted trans-C(2)SnCl(2)O(2) octa-hedral coordination geometry [C-Sn-C = 175.3 (1) and 178.9 (1)°].

Project description:The title complex, [Ru(C(10)H(15))(C(10)H(13)NO(2))](C(24)H(20)B)·C(3)H(6)O, is related to the analogous O-methyl complex. The average Ru-C distance to the penta-methyl-cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp*) group is 2.19 (3) Å, and 2.21 (1) Å to the ortho, meta and para C atoms of the arene ring. The Ru-C(ipso) bond length of 2.272 (3) Å is significantly longer, reflecting movement of the Ru atom away from the C atoms with electronegative substituents attached. The amide H atom in the cation forms an inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond with the carbonyl O atom of the acetone solvent mol-ecule. A C-H⋯O inter-action also occurs.

Project description:Crystals of the title compound, C(11)H(14)N(4)O(4), were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2,4-dinitro-phenyl-hydrazine and 3-penta-none. In the crystal structure, the mol-ecule, except one methyl group, displays a nearly planar structure. The imino group links to the adjacent nitro group via intra-molecular hydrogen bonding. The partially overlapped arrangement and face-to-face separation of 3.410 (9) Å between parallel benzene rings indicate the existence of π-π stacking between adjacent mol-ecules. The crystal structure also contains weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.
