The title compound, [Zn(C(6)H(4)N(5))(2)(H(2)O)(4)]·4H(2)O, was synthesized by the hydro-thermal reaction of Zn(CH(3)COO)(2)·2H(2)O with 3-(2H-tetra-zol-5-yl)pyridine. The Zn(II) ion is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by two pyridine N atoms from two 5-(3-pyrid-yl)tetra-zolide ligands and four coordinated water mol-ecules in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The dihedral angle between the pyridine and tetra-zole rings is 9.920 (7)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linke ...[more]
