Poly[?(3)-hydroxido-?-(pyridine-2,4,6-tricarboxyl-ato)-dilead(II)].

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title coordination polymer, [Pb(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(OH)](n), contains two crystallographically independent Pb(II) ions, one pyridine-2,4,6-tricarboxyl-ate (ptc) trianion and one hydroxide anion. One of the Pb(II) atoms is coordinated by one pyridine N and four carboxyl-ate O atoms from the ptc trianion and a hydroxide O atom in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The other Pb(II) atom is five-coordinated by three carboxyl-ate O atoms and two hydroxide O atoms in a distorted tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry. Four neighbouring Pb(II) atoms are bridged through two ?(3)-hydroxide ligands, forming the centrosymmetric Pb(4)(OH)(2) core. The three-dimensional structure is further achieved through bridging carboxyl-ate groups. There are also O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the hydroxide ligand and the carboxyl-ate group.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mn(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(H(2)O)(2)](n), each pyridine-2,4,6-tricarboxyl-ate (tpc) ligand bridges two Mn(II) ions with the formation of polymeric chains located on a twofold rotation axis. Each Mn(II) ion is coordinated by two O and one N atoms from one tpc ligand, two O atoms from another ligand and two water mol-ecules in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry. The Mn-N [2.243?(2)?Å] and Mn-O [2.206?(2)-2.3123?(16)?Å] bond lengths are normal. The coordinated water mol-ecules link neighbouring polymeric chains via O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a two-dimensional framework parallel to the bc plane.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of title coordination polymer, {(C(16)H(36)N)[Zn(3)(C(9)H(3)O(6))(2)(OH)]·0.25H(2)O}(n), there are three independent Zn(2+) cations, two benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxyl-ate ligands and a ?(3)-bridging hydroxide group, together with a tetra-n-butyl-ammonium counter-cation and a partially occupied water molecule of solvation (occupancy 0.25). Each Zn ion is coordinated by three carboxyl-ate O atoms and one O atom from the bridging hydroxide ion, displaying a slightly distorted tetra-hedral stereochemistry [overall Zn-O range = 1.875?(3)-1.987?(2)?Å]. An intra-molecular hydrogen bond involving the hydroxide H atom and a carboxyl-ate O-atom acceptor is also present in the complex unit. The bridging benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxyl-ate anions generate a three-dimensional framework structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title Pb-based coordination polymer, [Pb2(C24H16N2O8)(H2O)2] n , consists of one Pb(II) cation, half of a 4,4'-(1,4-phenyl-ene)bis-(2,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3,5-di-carb-oxyl-ate (L (4-)) ligand and one coordinating water mol-ecule. The centers of the benzene ring of the ligand and the four-membered Pb/O/Pb/O ring are located on centers of inversion. The Pb(II) ion is coordinated in form of a distorted polyhedron by seven O atoms from four separate L (4-) ligands and by one water O atom. The PbO7 polyhedra share O atoms, forming infinite zigzag [PbO4(H2O)] n chains along [100] that are bridged by L (4-) ligands, forming a two-dimensional coordination network parallel to (001). O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule are observed.

Project description:The three-dimensional title coordination polymer, {[Tb(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·H(2)O}(n), was hydro-thermally synthesized by reacting the corresponding rare-earth salt with pyridine-2,4,6-tricarb-oxy-lic acid (H(3)ptc). There are two independent Tb(III) atoms in the structure, one of which is nine-coordinated, forming a monocapped NO(8) square-anti-prism and the other is eight-coordinated exhibiting a 4,4-bicapped NO(7) trigonal-prismatic environment. The complex units are inter-connected through the ptc(3-) anions acting in different coordination modes, resulting in a three-dimensional coordin-ation polymer. The crystal structure features extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Zn(2)(C(9)H(3)O(6))(OH)(H(2)O)]·0.5H(2)O}(n), there are three independent Zn(II) atoms present; two are located on special positions, viz a twofold rotation axis and an inversion centre, and the third is located in a general position. The Zn(II) atom on the inversion centre is six-coordinated by four O atoms from four different benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxyl-ate anions and two OH(-) anions. The Zn(II) atom located on a twofold axis is four coordinated by two O atoms from two different benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxyl-ate anions and two OH(-) anions. The third Zn(II) atom, located in a general position, is five coordinated by three O atoms from three different benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxyl-ate anions, one OH(-) anion and one water mol-ecule. Each benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxyl-ate anion bridges six Zn(II) atoms, and the OH(-) anion bridges three Zn(II) atoms, resulting in the formation of a three-dimensional framework. A series of O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxyl-ate anions, the OH(-) anion and the coordinating and the two water solvent mol-ecules further stablize the crystal structure. The two solvent water molecules show occupancies of 0.5 and 0.25.

The cations and ferrate anions are linked into a layered structure; the layers are connected through the uncoordinated water mol-ecules into a hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. One of the uncoordinated water molecules is disordered around an inversion centre and was refined with half-occupancy for each position.
