ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(13)H(10)S(2)Te, the dibenzothio-phene moiety is almost planar, the maximum atomic deviation being 0.055?(5)?Å. The two Te-C bonds are nearly perpen-dicular to each other with a C-Te-C bond angle of 93.0?(2)°. An inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action is present between the methyl-ene group and thio-phene ring.

Project description:In the title hemisolvate, C14H11ClN2OS·0.5CH2Cl2, an anti disposition is found for the thione and ketone atoms, as well as the N-H H atoms; the dichloro-methane C atom lies on a twofold axis. The central chromophore (including the two adjacent ipso C atoms) is planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.021 Å) owing to the presence of an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which closes an S(6) loop. Significant twists are evident in the mol-ecule, the dihedral angles between the central moiety and the phenyl and benzene rings being 29.52 (7) and 40.02 (7)°, respectively. In the crystal, eight-membered {⋯HNC= S}2 synthons with twofold symmetry form via N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. The dimers are connected into a supra-molecular chain along [111] by C-H⋯O inter-actions. The chains stack along the c axis, forming columns which define channels in which the occluded dichloro-methane mol-ecules reside.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, C(20)H(24)N(2)S(2), the central CN(2)S(2) atoms are planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0205?Å) but both benzene rings are twisted out of this plane forming dihedral angles of 23.03?(6) and 84.75?(4)° (tol-yl); the n-butyl group occupies a position normal to the plane [N-C-C-C torsion angle = -84.33?(16)°]. The conformation of the imine bond [1.2888?(18)?Å] is E. The syn arrangement of the thione S and amino H atoms enables the formation of N-H?S hydrogen bonds between centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules. These lead to eight-membered {?HNC=S}(2) synthons which are further stabilized by proximate C-H?S interactions. The resulting dimeric aggregates are connected into a supra-molecular chain along the c axis by C-H??(tol-yl) inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, C(14)H(6)Cl(6)N(2)OS·0.5CHCl(3), crystallizes with four 1-(2,6-dichloro-benzo-yl)-3-(2,3,5,6-tetra-chloro-phen-yl)thio-urea mol-ecules and two trichloro-methane mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The thiourea molecules exist in the solid state in their thione forms with typical thio-urea C-S and C-O bonds lengths, as well as shortened C-N bonds. The -NH-C(=S)-NH-C(=O)- plane is almost perpen-dicular to the benzene ring in each thiourea molecule. Intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds stabilize the mol-ecular conformation and inter-molecular N-H?S hydrogen bonds stabilize the packing arrangement.

Project description:The title compound, C(7)H(9)N(3)S(2), crystallizes with two unique mol-ecules in the unit cell, both present as thio-semicarbazide tautomers. The mol-ecules differ principally in the dihedral angles between the thio-phene ring planes and the planes through the non-H atoms of the hydrazinecarbothio-amide units, viz. 9.80?(8)° for one mol-ecule and 19.37?(7)° for the other. The hydrazinecarbothio-amide units are reasonably planar, with r.m.s. deviations of 0.001Å for each of the mol-ecules. In the crystal, N-H?S hydrogen bonds link like mol-ecules into R(2) (2)(8) inversion dimers. A three-dimensional network structure is generated by additional N-H?S hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?S contacts between the unique mol-ecules.
