The geometries of the five-coordinate Pb(II) atoms in the two independent mol-ecules are ?-octa-hedral; if more remote Pb?O inter-actions are also considered, the coordination number is increased to six for one mol-ecule and to seven for the other. Their coordination polyhedra are ill defined in the chain motif, which runs along [100].

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Cu(C5H11N2O2)2], the Cu(2+) ion, located on an inversion centre (Wyckoff position 2b), is in a square-planar environment, surounded by four O atoms of the N-O groups of two N-nitroso-N-pentyl-hydroxy-laminate ligands [Cu-O = 1.9042?(17) and 1.9095?(16)?Å]. The hy-droxy-laminate monoanions are bidentate chelating ligands. The Cu(2+) cations form stacks along [010], with inter-molecular Cu?N contacts of 3.146?(2) and 3.653?(2)?Å.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric binuclear title complex, [Pb(2)(C(7)H(5)O(3))(4)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·H(2)O, each Pb atom is eight-coordinated in a PbO(6)N(2) environment by two N atoms from the 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand, five carboxylate O atoms from four 3-hydroxy-benzoate anions and one O atom from the coordinated water mol-ecule in a distorted bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The benzoate groups coordinate each Pb(II) atom in two different ways. Two benzoate ions behave as bidentate ligands to the Pb atom, and another benzoate ion bridges the Pb atoms, forming a binuclear structure. The dimeric units are packed via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions between the aromatic rings of neighboring mol-ecules, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.552 (2) and 3.641 (2) Å.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Ni(C7H6FN2O2)2(H2O)2], the Ni(II) cation is in a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment and is surrounded by four O atoms from the N-O groups of the organic ligands [Ni-O = 2.0179?(13) and 2.0283?(12)?Å], and two water mol-ecules [Ni-O = 2.0967?(14)?Å]. The N-(2-fluoro-benz-yl)-N-nitroso-hydroxy-laminate monoanions act as bidentate chelating ligands. In the crystal, the Ni cations in the columns are shifted in such a way that the coordinated water mol-ecules are involved in the formation of hydrogen bonds with the O atoms of the organic species of neighbouring mol-ecules. Thus, a two-dimensional network parallel to (100) is built up by hydrogen-bonded molecules.

Project description:In the title complex, [Pb(NO(3))(2)(C(14)H(12)N(2))(2)], the lead ion is chelated by two 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) ligands and two nitrate anions in a slightly distorted square-anti-prismatic geometry. Intra- and inter-molecular π-π stacking is present in the crystal structure, and the centroid-centroid distances between the benzene and pyridine rings of adjacent dmphen ligands are 3.492 (3) and 3.592 (3) Å, respectively. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions help to stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Mn(C(7)H(5)O(3))(2)(C(14)H(12)N(2))(H(2)O)]·0.5C(14)H(12)N(2), the Mn(II) ion is coordinated by a bidentate 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) mol-ecule, one water mol-ecule and two monodentate 2-hydroxy-benzoate anions in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The OH group of the 2-hydroxy-benzoate anion is disordered over two positions with site-occupancy factors of 0.5. The asymmetric unit is completed with by an uncoordinated half-mol-ecule of dmphen, disordered about a crystallographic twofold axis. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional framework by O-H?N, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. The packing of the structure is further stabilized by ?-? stacking inter-actions involving dmphen mol-ecules, with centroid-centroid separations of 3.8027?(3) and 3.6319?(3)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(8)H(7)O(2))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)](C(8)H(7)O(2))·6H(2)O, the Cu atom is in a distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment. The six crystallographically independent uncoordinated water mol-ecules are inter-connected by hydrogen bonds, completing dodeca-water (H(2)O)(12) clusters which are hydrogen bonded to the carboxyl-ate groups of phenyl-acetate anions, building up one-dimensional anionic chains propagating along [100]. Between the cationic and anionic chains are hydrogen bonds from water mol-ecules to the carboxyl-ate O atoms belonging to the phenyl-acetato ligands.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pb(C(7)H(4)FO(2))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)]·2H(2)O, the Pb(II) atom is coordinated by four N atoms from two bidentate chelating 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligands and four O atoms from two 2-fluoro-benzoate ligands in an irregular polyhedral coordination geometry. Two carboxyl-ate O atoms and one F atom are each disordered over two sites with occupancy factors of 0.60 and 0.40. The dihedral angle between the two phen ligands is 89.9?(1)°. The mean inter-planar distances are alternatively of 3.44?(3) and 3.45?(3)?Å, indicating ?-? stacking inter-actions between the neighboring phen ligands. In the crystal, O-H?O, O-H?F and C-H?O hydrogen bonds link the complex mol-ecules and uncoordinated water mol-ecules into a supra-molecular network.

In the crystal structure, pairs of complexes are linked by double hydrogen bonds, forming a one-dimensional chain-like structure. Aromatic ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid separation = 3.768?(2)?Å] and further hydrogen bonds generate a two-dimensional structure. The water O atom also lies on a crystallographic twofold axis.
