ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(6))(CH(3)OH)], the Sn(IV) ion is coordinated in a slightly distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry by three phenyl ligands in the equatorial plane and by a 2-methyl-3,5-dinitro-benzene-carboxyl-ato ligand and a methanol ligand at the apical sites. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules are linked via inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [100].

Project description:The five-coordinate Sn atom in the title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)(C(8)H(6)NO(4))(CH(3)OH)], exists in a trans-C(3)SnO(2) trigonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron of which the O atoms of the methanol mol-ecule and carboxyl-ate group occupy the apical sites. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular O-H⋯O inter-actions, generating a helical hydrogen-bonded chain running along the b axis.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Sn(CH(3))(3)(C(7)H(5)N(2)O(6))(C(2)H(6)OS)], the Sn(IV) ion is coordinated by three methyl groups in the equatorial plane, and by an O atom from a 2-methyl-3,5-dinitrobenzoate ligand and a dimethyl sulfoxide ligand in the axial sites, to form a slightly distorted trigonal-bipyramidal environment. The O atoms of one of the nitro groups are disordered over two sets of sites, with refined occupancies of 0.55?(4) and 0.45?(4). The closest inter-molecular inter-action is a weak C-H?O hydrogen bond.

An intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action forms an S(7) ring motif. The dihedral angles between the benzoate group and the other three phenyl rings are 76.94 (8), 66.82 (8) and 42.34 (9)°. Project description:In the structure of the title coordination polymer, [K(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(6))](n), each ligand bridges six K(+) cations. The carboxyl-ate group coordinates both bidentately to one K(+) ion and monodentately to two K(+) ions, while one nitro group coordinates bidentately to a fourth K(+) ion. The last two K(+) ions are coordinated by the remaining nitro group, one in a bidentate fashion, the other monodentately through one O atom. This bridging mode results in a three-dimensional network. The coordination geometry of the K(+) ion is represented by an irregular KO(9) polyhedron. Very weak C-H?O inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)(C(7)H(5)N(2)O(4))], consists of two independent mol-ecules. In each mol-ecule, the four-coordinated Sn(IV) atom exists in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry and two intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds with S(6) ring motifs are present. In one mol-ecule, the benzene ring of the 2-amino-3-nitro-benzoate ligand makes dihedral angles of 42.74?(11), 89.66?(13) and 53.04?(10)° with the three phenyl rings. The corresponding dihedral angles for the other mol-ecule are 6.29?(11), 66.55?(11) and 62.33?(10)°. In the crystal, a weak inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action and a ?-? stacking inter-action with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.5877?(12)?Å are observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Rb(C(7)H(3)N(2)O(6))(C(7)H(4)N(2)O(6))](n), comprises an Rb(+) cation, a 3,5-dinitro-benzoate anion and a 3,5-dinitro-benzoic acid ligand. The Rb(+) cation is nine-coordinated by O atoms from four 3,5-dinitro-benzoate anions and three neutral 3,5-dinitro-benzoic acid ligands. The metal atom is firstly linked by four bridging carboxyl groups, forming a binuclear motif, which is further linked by the nitro groups into a two-dimensional framework along the [110] direction. A short O-H?O hydrogen bond between two adjacent carboxy/carboxylate groups occurs.

Project description:The title compound, [Sr(C(8)H(5)N(2)O(6))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n), essentially consists of a one-dimensional polymeric network with Sr(2)O(2) rings extending along the [100] direction. The range of Sr-O bond lengths is 2.4822 (13)-2.8113 (13) Å. C-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions stabilize the mol-ecules in the form of a two-dimensional polymeric network parallel to (001). One of the nitro groups is disordered over three sets of sites with the occupancy ratio of 0.46:0.32:0.22.
