ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Co(CN)(2)(C(18)H(18)N(4))]PF(6), the Co(III) atom together with one of the pyridyl rings and two cyanide anions are located on a mirror plane, while the P atom is located on an inversion centre. The Co(III) atom exhibits an octa-hedral geometry, coordinated by four N atoms from the tris-(2-pyridyl-meth-yl)amine ligand with an average Co-N distance of 1.953?(2)?Å, and two cyanide C atoms with an average Co-C distance of 1.895?(2)?Å. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H?N and C-H?F inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(C(10)H(6)O(2))(C(18)H(18)N(4))]PF(6)·0.5H(2)O, the Co(III) ion is six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry by four N atoms from a tris-(2-pyridyl-meth-yl)amine ligand and two O atoms from a naphthalene-2,3-diolate ligand. The asymmetric unit contains two complex cations, two hexa-fluoridophosphate anions and one uncoordinated water mol-ecule. In one of the hexa-fluoridophosphate anions, four of the F aroms are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.632 (11):0.368 (11) ratio. In the crystal, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are connected by O-H⋯O and O-H⋯F hydrogen bonds. π-π inter-actions are present between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.814 (1) Å].

Project description:The title compound, [Co(N(3))(3)(C(16)H(14)N(4))], was synthesized by hydro-thermal reaction of [Co(NH(3))(6)](NO(3))(3), NaN(3) and tris-(2-pyrid-yl)methyl-amine. The structure contains two independent complexes in the asymmetric unit, with closely comparable geometry. The Co(III) atoms are hexa-coordinated by three N atoms from the tridentate tris-(2-pyrid-yl)methyl-amine ligands and three azide ions in a fac arrangement. N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are formed between the amino group and the uncoordinated terminal N atoms of the azide ligands.

Project description:The title complex, [Ir(C5H8NO2)H(C3H9P)3]PF6, has two independent anion-cation pairs in the asymmetric unit. The geometry about each Ir(III) atom is pseudo-octa-hedral with a meridional arrangement of the P(CH3)3 ligands, N,O-bidentate coordination of prolinate and a hydride ligand trans to the prolinate N atom. The independent Ir(III) moieties are joined by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and the N-H⋯O bonding motif continues throughout the structure, creating an extended chain parallel to the c-axis direction. The methyl groups of one P(CH3)3 ligand are rotationally disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.62 (2):0.38 (2) ratio.

Project description:The title compound, {[Ag(L)]PF(6))(n) {L is tris-[2-(4-phenyl-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)eth-yl]amine, C(30)H(30)N(10)}, consists of alternating two-dimensional cationic layers of [Ag(L)](+) and anionic PF(6) (-) layers. Each Ag(I) atom is three coordinated in a T-shaped geometry by three N atoms from three ligands. Each ligand links three Ag(I) atoms, generating a two-dimensional network structure with two different metallacycles, A and B. In A, eight coordination units from four ligands connect four Ag(I) atoms, forming a 48-membered ring. In B, four coordination units from two ligands link two Ag(I) atoms, forming a 24-membered ring. Each B ring is surrounded by four A rings, and each A ring has four A and four B rings as neighbours. This cationic layer thus generates a 4.8(2) topology network, with each Ag(I) centre and ligand acting as a three-connected topological node.

Project description:In the title polymeric complex, {[Ag(C11H11N3)]PF6} n , the Ag(I) ion is two-coordinated in a nearly linear coordination geometry [N-Ag-N = 175.98?(9)°] by two pyridine N atoms from two symmetry-related N-[(pyridine-2-yl)meth-yl]pyridine-3-amine ligands. Each Ag(I) ion is bridged by the ligands, forming a helical chain propagating along the b-axis direction. The right- and left-handed helical chains are alternately arranged via Ag?Ag [3.2639?(5)?Å] and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.523?(1)?Å], resulting in the formation of a two-dimensional supra-molecular network extending parallel to (101). Weak Ag?F inter-actions [longest Ag?F inter-action = 3.153?(2)?Å], as well as N-H?F and C-H?F hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, occur between the helical chains and the anions.

Project description:The title compound [Co(C22H26N4O4)]PF6, commonly known as [Co(bpcd)]PF6, where bpcd(2-) is derived from the historical ligand name N,N'-bis-(2-pyridyl-meth-yl)-trans-1,2-di-amino-cyclo-hexane-N,N'-di-acetate, crystallized by slow evaporation of a saturated aceto-nitrile solution in air. The cation of the hexa-fluorido-phosphate salt has the Co(III) atom in a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry provided by an N4O2 donor atom set. The acetate groups, which are oriented trans with respect to each other, exhibit monodentate coordination whereas the pyridyl N atoms are coordinating in a cis configuration. The geometry of the cation is compared to the geometries of other di-amino di-acetate complexes with Co(III).

Project description:In the complex cation of the title compound, [Fe(C27H41N10O3)](PF6)2, the tripodal tris-{4-[1-(2-meth-oxy-eth-yl)imidazol-2-yl]-3-aza-but-3-en-yl}amine ligand is coordinated to an FeII ion through the nitro-gen atoms of three imidazole and three imino groups. The Fe atom exhibits a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, l and d anti-podes are arranged in layers in the bc plane. Weak C⋯F and C-H⋯F/O contacts exist between the ligands of the complex cation and the PF6 - anions, generating a three-dimensional network. At 120 K, the FeII ion is in a low-spin state, with an average Fe-N bond distance of 1.970 (2) Å. On heating, the FeII ion converts to the high-spin state, as demonstrated by magnetic susceptibility measurements.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Co(3)(C(5)H(9)O(2))(6)O(CH(4)O)(3)]Cl, consists of trinuclear Co(III) complex cations and chloride anions. The Co(III) cation has site symmetry m, and is coordinated by four oxygen atoms from four bridging pivalate groups, one central O anion and a methanol oxygen atom, forming a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The coordinated methanol mol-ecule is located on a crystallographic special position, the C and O atoms being located on the mirror plane. The central O anion lies in the crystallographic position, and acts as a ?(3)-O bridge, linking three equivalent Co(III) cations and generating the oxo-centered trinuclear Co(III) complex. The chloride anion, which acts as the counter-ion, is located on crystallographic position. O-H?Cl hydrogen bonding between the Cl anion and hydroxyl group of the coordinated methanol mol-ecule links the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular network.
