Project description:The title compound, [Cr(2)Cl(2)O(C(18)H(18)N(4))(2)](PF(6))(2), is isostructural with the V(III) analogue. Each Cr(III) atom is chelated by the tetra-dentate tris-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine ligand via four N atoms, and further coordinated by one Cl atom and one bridging O atom, giving a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The dinuclear complex is centrosymmetric, with the bridging O atom lying on a centre of inversion.

Project description:The title compound, [Mn(C(3)H(7)NO)(6)][Fe(2)Cl(6)O], was obtained unintentionally as a product of an attempted synthesis of heterometallic complexes with Schiff base ligands using manganese powder and FeCl(3)·6H(2)O as starting materials. In the [Fe(2)OCl(6)](2-) anion, the O atom and the Fe atom occupy positions with site symmetry [Formula: see text] and 3, respectively, resulting in a linear Fe-O-Fe angle and a staggered conformation. The octa-hedrally surrounded cation (site symmetry [Formula: see text]) and the [Fe(2)Cl(6)O](2-) anion are alternately stacked along [001].

Project description:In the title half-sandwich complex, [RuCl(?(6)-C(12)H(18))(C(10)H(9)N(3))]PF(6)·CH(2)Cl(2), the ruthenium(II) ion is four-coordinated by a chloro, a hexa-methyl-benzene and a bidentate N,N'-chelating di(pyridin-2-yl)amine ligand. In the crystal, the amino N-H group forms a hydrogen bond with the chloro ligand of a neighbouring complex, thus forming chains along the b axis. Weak inter-molecular C-H?F and C-H? Cl contacts are also observed.

The distribution of Mo-O bond lengths in the Lindqvist isopolyanion is consistent with other structures containing the same unit. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by C-H⋯O inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [Co(CN)(2)(C(18)H(18)N(4))]PF(6), the Co(III) atom together with one of the pyridyl rings and two cyanide anions are located on a mirror plane, while the P atom is located on an inversion centre. The Co(III) atom exhibits an octa-hedral geometry, coordinated by four N atoms from the tris-(2-pyridyl-meth-yl)amine ligand with an average Co-N distance of 1.953?(2)?Å, and two cyanide C atoms with an average Co-C distance of 1.895?(2)?Å. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H?N and C-H?F inter-actions.

Project description:Reaction of K8{Ta6O19}·16H2O with [Ni(tren)(H2O)Cl]Cl·H2O in different solvents led to the formation of single crystals of the title compound, [Ni4Ta6O19(C6H18N4)4]·19H2O or {[Ni2(κ4-tren)(μ-κ3-tren)]2Ta6O19}·19H2O (tren is N,N-bis-(2-amino-eth-yl)-1,2-ethanediamine, C6H18N4). In its crystal structure, one Lindqvist-type anion {Ta6O19}8- (point group symmetry ) is connected to two NiII cations, with both of them coordinated by one tren ligand into discrete units. Both NiII cations are sixfold coordinated by O atoms of the anion and N atoms of the organic ligand, resulting in slightly distorted [NiON5] octa-hedra for one and [NiO3N3] octa-hedra for the other cation. These clusters are linked by inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding involving water mol-ecules into layers parallel to the bc plane. Some of these water mol-ecules are positionally disordered and were refined using a split model. Powder X-ray diffraction revealed that a pure crystalline phase was obtained but that on storage at room-temperature this compound decomposed because of the loss of crystal water mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, {(C7H6NS)2[Sb2Cl6O]} n , contains two benzo-thia-zolidium cations and one tri-μ-chlorido-tri-chlorido-μ-oxido-di-anti-monate(III) anion. The structure of the inorganic cation may be described as as being built up from two polyhedra, i.e. a square-pyramidal SbCl4O and a distorted octa-hedral SbOCl5 unit, sharing a common face (comprising the O atom and two Cl atoms). The two benzo-thia-zole cations are quasi-planar and subtend a dihedral angle of 19.93 (5)°. The crystal packing can be described by alternating (100) layers and [001] chains of the organic cations and inorganic anions connected through an extensive three-dimensional network of N-H⋯Cl, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. This is consolidated by slipped π-π stacking, with centroid-to-centroid distances between the benzo-thia-zole rings of 3.7111 (18)-3.8452 (16) Å. These inter-actions link the mol-ecules within the layers and also link the layers together and reinforce the cohesion of the ionic structure.

Project description:The title compound, [Zn(C(2)H(8)N(2))(3)](SiF(6)), was synthesized ionothermally using choline chloride-imidazolidone as solvent and template provider. In the crystal structure, the anions and cations are located on special positions of site symmetry 3.2 and show a typical octa-hedral geometry. The Zn(II) ion is coordinated by six N atoms from three ethyl-enediamine mol-ecules. The crystal structure displays weak hydrogen bonding between [SiF(6)](2-) anions and the ethyl-enediamine NH hydrogen atoms.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title complex, [Cr(3)(CH(3)CO(2))(6)(N(3))O(CH(3)OH)(2)]·CH(3)OH, the trinuclear core has a central O atom; two methanol mol-ecules and an azide ion are coordinated to the Cr(III) atoms in the core. The three Cr(III) atoms form vertices of a nearly equilateral triangle. Each of the six acetate carboxyl-ate groups bridges a Cr-O-Cr fragment. In the crystal, the molecules inter-act with methanol solvent mol-ecules through O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network parallel to (100).

Project description:The title compound, [Co(C(2)H(8)N(2))(3)](2)[SiMo(8)V(4)O(40)(VO)(2)]·6H(2)O, was prepared under hydro-thermal conditions. The asymmetric unit consists of a transition metal complex [Co(en)(3)](3+) cation (en is ethyl-enediamine), one half of an [SiMo(8)V(4)O(40)(VO)(2)](6-) heteropolyanion, two solvent water mol-ecules in general positions and two half-mol-ecules of water located on a mirror plane. In the complex cation, the Co(3+) ion is in a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment formed by six N atoms of the three chelating en ligands. One of the en ligands exhibits disorder of its aliphatic chain over two sets of sites of equal occupancy. The [SiMo(8)V(4)O(40)(VO)(2)](6-) heteropolyanion is a four-electron reduced bivanadyl-capped ?-Keggin-type molybdenum-vanadium-oxide cluster. In the crystal, it is located on a mirror plane, which results in disorder of the central tetra-hedral SiO(4) group: the O atoms of this group occupy two sets of sites related by a mirror plane. Furthermore, all of the eight ?(2)-oxide groups are also disordered over two sets of sites with equal occupancy. There are extensive inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the complex cations and inorganic polyoxidoanions, leading to a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
