Poly[[(1,10-phenanthroline){μ(3)-2,2',2''-[1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyltris(sulfane-diyl)]triacetato}-cadmium] 0.42-hydrate].

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title complex, {[Cd(C(9)H(7)N(3)O(6)S(3))(C(12)H(8)N(2))]·0.42H(2)O}(n), contains a Cd(II) atom, one doubly deprotonated 2,2',2''-[1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyltris(sulfanediyl)]triacetic acid ligand (HTTTA(2-)), a 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand and a fractionally occupied water mol-ecule [site occupancy = 0.421 (15)]. The Cd(II) atom is six-coordinated within a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. Six coordination arises from four O atoms derived from three different HTTTA(2-) ligands, and two N atoms of the chelating phen mol-ecule. The incompletely deprotonated triazine ligand adopts a μ(3)-η(1):η(1):η(2) coordination mode, resulting in the formation of chains along the c axis based on Cd(2)O(2) dimeric units. Adjacent chains are stacked through π-π stacking [3.533 (2) Å between phen and triazine rings] and C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming supra-molecular sheets in the ab plane. Intra-and intermolecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are also observed.

Project description:The nitrilo-triacetate trianion in the title compound, [Zn(2)(C(6)H(6)NO(6))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(3)]NO(3)·6H(2)O, is engaged in N,O,O',O"-chelation to the phenanthroline-chelated Zn(II) unit, giving a distorted octa-hedral geometry for the metal atom. One of the three O atoms of the trianion that is engaged in chelation also binds to the bis-(phenanthroline)-chelated Zn(II) unit, whose five-coordinate geometry is distorted owing to a long Zn?O inter-action [2.401?(2)?Å]. The dinuclear cations, nitrate anions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network via O-H?O hydrogen bonds between water molecules and carboxylate O atoms.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C18H15N6 (3+)·3Cl(-)·2.5H2O, contains two independent (1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-tri-yl)tripyridinium cations. Both cations are approximately planar, the r.m.s. deviations of fitted non-H atoms being 0.045 and 0.051?Å. In the crystal, extensive O-H?Cl, O-H?O, N-H?Cl and N-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?Cl and C-H?O inter-actions link the organic cations, Cl(-) anions and water mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. ?-? stacking between the pyridine rings of adjacent cations is also observed, the centroid-to-centroid distance being 3.7578?(8)?Å.

Project description:Two virtually superimposable mol-ecules comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(27)H(27)N(3). The range of dihedral angles between the central 1,3,5-triazine ring and the attached benzene rings is 20.88?(14)-31.36?(14)°, and the shape of each mol-ecule is of a flattened bowl. The crystal packing features weak C-H?? bonds and ?-? inter-actions between triazine and benzene rings [centroid-centroid separations = 3.7696?(17) and 3.7800?(18)?Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular layers in the ac plane. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a minor twin component of 20.7?(3)%.

Project description:In the title complex, [MnCl(2)(C(18)H(12)N(6))], the Mn(II) ion is five-coordinated in an approximately square-pyramidal geometry defined by three N atoms of the tridentate 2,4,6-tri-2-pyridyl-1,3,5-triazine ligand and two Cl atoms. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are stacked in columns along the c axis and display inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between the six-membered rings, the shortest centroid-centroid distance being 3.553?(3)Å. Inter-molecular C-H?Cl contacts are also noted.

Project description:The title compouand {[Zn(C(4)H(4)O(6))(C(12)H(8)N(2))]·6H(2)O}(n), has a linear chain structure parallel to [100] with Zn(C(4)H(4)O(6))(C(12)H(8)N(2)) repeat units; the asymmetric unit consists of one Zn(2+) cation, one l-tartrate dianion, one 1,10-phenanthroline and six free water mol-ecules. The Zn atom is in a distorted octa-hedral ZnN(2)O(4) coordination environment. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking of the phenanthroline units [centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.552?(2)-3.625?(2)Å] occurs between the chains. The title compound is isotypic with the Cu and Mn analogues.

Project description:The title compound, C21H33N3O3, is a tri-substituted cyclo-hex-yloxy triazine. In the crystal, the triazine rings form (C3i-PU) Piedfort units. The inter-centroid distance of the π-π inter-action involving the triazine rings is 3.3914 (10) Å. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons propagating along [1-10]. There are also weak C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O contacts present, linking inversion-related ribbons, forming a three-dimensional structure.
