ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Mn(II)Mn(III) (2)(C(11)H(13)NO(4))(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(4)(H(2)O)(2)]·2CH(3)CN·2H(2)O, there are two Mn(III) and one Mn(II) atoms. The Mn(II) atom lies on an inversion center and the Mn(III)-Mn(II)-Mn(III) angle is therefore 180°, as required by crystallographic symmetry. The Mn(III) and Mn(II) atoms are six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules and solvent mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:In the crystal of the dinuclear title compound, [Cu(2)(C(13)H(13)N(2)O)(2)(ClO(4))(2)]·2CH(3)CN, the two bridging perchlorate ions chelate to the two Cu(II) atoms in a ?-O:O' fashion on opposite sides of the equatorial plane. The Cu(II) ions display a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry (in the usual 4 + 2 Jahn-Teller arrangement), each being coordinated by two O atoms from the two perchlorate ligands, and two N and O atoms from the reduced Schiff base ligand. The asymmetric unit contains two acetonitrile solvent mol-ecules. In the crystal structure, in addition to N-H?O hydrogen bonds, there are weak C-H?O inter-actions between the perchlorate O atoms and the reduced Schiff base ligand. C-H?N inter-actions are also present.

Project description:In the hydrated title complex, [Mn(C(8)H(6)N(3)O(2))(CH(3)CO(2))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, the Mn(II) atom is coordinated by two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, two water O atoms, a monodentate acetate anion and an O-monodentate 2-(1H-benzotriazol-1-yl)acetate ligand, resulting in a distorted cis-MnN(2)O(4) octa-hedral coordination geometry. The water O atoms are in a trans arrangement and one of them forms an intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond to the uncoordinated O atom of the acetate ion. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules and water mol-ecules are connected by O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds to generate a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cr(3)(C(2)Cl(3)O(2))(7)O(H(2)O)(2)]·3CH(3)CN, the trinuclear [Cr(3)O(H(2)O)(2)(Cl(3)CCO(2))(7)] mol-ecule has an oxide O atom that is connected to one monodentate trichloro-acetate-coordinated and two water-coordinated Cr(III) atoms, the three metal atoms forming the points of an equilateral triangle. Each of the six remaining carboxyl-ate groups bridges a Cr-O-Cr fragment. The cluster inter-acts with the three solvent mol-ecules through water-acetonitrile O-H?N hydrogen bonds. Adjacent clusters are linked by a water-carboxylate O-H?O hydrogen bond to give a helical chain. One of the CCl(3) groups was found to be disordered over two positions, with the major component having a site-occupancy factor of 0.64?(1).

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(2)(C(27)H(24)Br(3)N(4)O(3))(CH(3)CO(2))(CH(3)OH)(H(2)O)]·2CH(3)OH·H(2)O contains [L(OAc){(CH(3)OH)Ni}{(H(2)O)Ni}] mol-ecules {H(3)L = 2-(5-bromo-2-hy-droxy-phen-yl)-1,3-bis-[4-(5-bromo-2-hy-droxy-phen-yl)-3-aza-but-3-en-yl]-1,3-imidazolidine} with additional water and two methanol solvent mol-ecules. In this instance, one of the two Ni atoms is coordinated to a water and the other to a methanol mol-ecule. The Ni-O and Ni-N distances, as well as the angles about the metal atoms, show quite regular octa-hedra around the central ions. The Ni-O(phenol)-Ni and Ni-O(acetate)-Ni angles are not similar [95.26?(13) and 97.34?(13)°, respectively], indicating that this subtle solvate exchange induces significant differences in the conformation adopted. The coordinated methanol ligand is involved in an intra-molecular hydrogen bond to the uncoordinated O atom of the bridging acetate ligand, while the coordinated water mol-ecule forms a hydrogen bond with the one of the methanol solvent mol-ecules. The water solvent mol-ecule forms strong hydrogen bonds to both phenolate O atoms. The remaining methanol solvent mol-ecule also forms a hydrogen bond with this solvent water mol-ecule.

One HPAA ligand coordinates just to one Ce(III) ion, whereas the remaining two bridge two Ce(III) ions. The 4,4'-bipyridine mol-ecule and one water mol-ecule are not coordinated to Ce. In the crystal, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.
