ABSTRACT: In the cation of the title compound, [Ag(4)(C(2)F(3)O(2))(2)(C(12)H(10)O(2)P)(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(2)]·2CH(3)CN, the two independent Ag(+) cations are four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by one P atom from a bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane (dppm) ligand, one O atom from a trifluoro-acetate anion and two O atoms from two diphenyl-phosphinate (dpp) ligands. Two dppm ligands, two dpp ligands and two trifluoro-acetate anions bridge four metal atoms, forming a centrosymmetric tetra-nuclear complex. Intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds and a weak ?-? inter-action [centroid-centroid distance = 3.9804?(13)?Å] are also observed.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric tetra-nuclear title compound, [Ag(4)(C(12)H(10)O(2)P)(2)(CF(3)O(3)S)(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(2)]·2CH(3)CN, the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by one P atom from a bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane (dppm) ligand, two O atoms from two diphenyl-phosphinate (dpp) ligands and one O atom from a trifluoro-methane-sulfonate (OTf) anion in a highly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. Four Ag(I) atoms are bridged by two dppm ligands, two dpp ligands and two OTf anions, forming a tetra-nuclear complex. An weak intra-molecular Ag?Ag [3.2692?(14)?Å] inter-action is observed. The OTf anion and one of the phenyl groups in the dppm ligand are disordered over two sets of positions in a 0.546?(4):0.454?(4) ratio. The 0.546-occupied OTf is bonded to two Ag atoms in a ?-(?(2)O:O') mode, while the 0.454-occupied OTf is bonded in a ?-(?(2)O:O) mode. The methyl group of the acetonitrile solvent mol-ecule is also disordered over two positions with equal occupancy factors.

Project description:The title complex, [Ag(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(2)(C(9)H(7)N)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2)·C(9)H(7)N, was prepared by the reaction of silver(I) trifluoro-methane-sulfonate with isoquinoline and bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane (dppm). The dinuclear mol-ecule is located about a center of inversion and the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two dppm P atoms and one isoquinoline N atom, forming an eight-membered metalla ring. In addition, in the asymmetric unit, there is a half-mol-ecule of isoquinoline located about a center of inversion. Since this mol-ecule does not possess this symmetry, for one position in the ring there is superposition of both a C atom of a C-H group and the isoquinoline N atom. In the structure, the Ag-P distances [2.4296 (9) and 2.4368 (9) Å] agree with the corresponding distances in related structures, while the Ag-N bond length [2.489 (3) Å] is slightly longer than that in related structures. On the other hand, the P-Ag-P angle [156.44 (3)°] is much larger than the corresponding angles in related structures. The trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions do not coordinate to Ag(I) atoms. As is usually found for these anions, the -CF(3) group is disordered over two orientations [occupancies = 0.57 (12) and 0.43 (12)].

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(CH(3)CN)(3)(C(29)H(27)N(5)OP(2))](BF(4))(2)·2CH(3)CN, the Fe(II) ion is octa-hedrally coordinated by a meridionally chelating tridentate pincer-type PNP ligand derived from 2,6-diamino-4-eth-oxy-1,3,5-triazine and by three acetonitrile mol-ecules. The four Fe-N bond lengths range from 1.9142?(12) to 1.9579?(11)?Å, while the Fe-P bonds are 2.2452?(4) and 2.2506?(4)?Å [P-Fe-P = 165.523?(14)°], consistent with Fe(II) in a low-spin state. Unlike related Fe PNP complexes based on 2,6-diamino-pyridine, the BF(4) anions are not hydrogen bonded to the two NH groups of the pincer ligand but show instead anion-? inter-actions with the triazine ring and acetonitrile mol-ecules in addition to ten C-H?F inter-actions. Most remarkable among these is an anion-?(triazine) inter-action with a short distance of 2.788?(2)?Å between one F and the centroid of the ?-acidic triazine ring. The corresponding shortest distance between this F atom and a triazine carbon atom is 2.750?(2)?Å. The two NH groups of the pincer ligand donate N-H?N hydrogen bonds to the triazine N atom of a neighbouring complex and to an uncoordinated acetonitrile mol-ecule. This last mol-ecule is in a side-on head-to-tail association with the second uncoordinated acetonitrile at C?N distances of 3.467?(2) and 3.569?(2)?Å. In contrast to several related compounds with diamino-pyridine- instead of diamino-triazine-based PNP ligands, the title crystal structure is remarkably well ordered. This suggests that the diamino-triazine moiety exerts notable crystal structure stabilizing effects.

Each counter-anion is also engaged in a C-H?O contact with one of the methyl-ene H atoms of a 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane (dppe) ligand; another C-H?O contact involving an aromatic H atom is also observed.

Project description:The title compound, [Pt(C??H??NP?)?](CF?SO?)?, consists of a Pt(II) atom, situated on an inversion centre, coordinated by two diphosphinoamine bidentate ligands and charge-balanced by two trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions. The Pt(II) atom has a distorted square-planar geometry defined by the four P atoms. The distortion is illustrated by the P-Pt-P bite angle of 70.31?(4)°. The geometry around the N atom deviates from a trigonal-planar geometry, evidenced by the P-N-P bite angle of 102.3?(2) °. The N atom is displaced by 0.114?(4)?Å from the C/P/P plane. In order to coordinate, the orientation of the phenyl rings alters from a C(s) conformation to a C(2v) conformation. The cyclo-pentane ring is slightly twisted: the puckering parameters are q(2) = 0.420?(5)?Å and ? = 26.5?(8) °. The trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anion displays a 0.511?(11):0.489?(11) positional disorder. Weak inter- and intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds influence the crystal packing.

Project description:The title complex, [Au(2)Cl(2)(C(26)H(21)NP(2))], has an intra-molecular Au?Au inter-action of 3.1669?(4)?Å, but no inter-molecular Au?Au inter-actions in the solid state. The Cl-Au-P bond angle of 176.84?(7)° is slightly distorted from linearity. The P-C bond length to the phenyl group is shorter [1.810?(7)?Å] than the P-C bond length [1.876?(7)?Å] to the bridging carbon, indicative of the flexibility of the bidentate bite of the ligand. The C-C N fragment is essentially linear at 179.5?(9)° and the C N bond length of 1.125?(11)?Å indicates predominantly triple-bond character. Project description:The title tetra-nuclear complex, [Au(4)(C(25)H(21)P(2))Cl(3)(C(25)H(22)P(2))]·2C(4)H(8)O, features two non-equivalent Ph(2)PCPPh(2) fragments, one of which represents the 'complete' mol-ecule (with two H atoms at the central C atom); each of the two P atoms of this mol-ecule is coordinated by an Au atom [Au-P = 2.2256 (13) and 2.2710 (13) Å], and these two Au atoms form an Au-Au bond [3.2945 (3) Å], thus closing the five-membered Au(2)P(2)C ring. The first of these Au atoms has a terminal chlorido ligand [Au-Cl = 2.2806 (12) Å], whereas the second Au atom forms a covalent bond with the central C atom of the bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methyl group [Au-C = 2.114 (5) Å]; the latter group in turn coordinates with its P atoms the gold atoms of the Cl-Au-Au-Cl group [Au-P = 2.2356 (13) and 2.2338 (13), Au-Au = 3.3177 (3), Au-Cl = 2.3091 (12) and 2.2950 (13) Å], thus closing the second Au(2)P(2)C ring. The two such rings have different chemical functions, but both exhibit envelope conformations. However, the first (with different substituents at the Au atoms) is non-symmetrical with one of the P atoms in the flap position of the envelope; the other one has a conformation with mirror symmetry, and the gold-substituted C atom is displaced by 0.740 (5) Å from the almost exactly planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0038 Å) Au(2)P(2) group.
