ABSTRACT: In the title compound, (C(10)H(10)N(3)O(2)S)(2)[CdCl(4)], the Cd(II) ion lies on a twofold axis and is coordinated by four chloride anions, with bond distances of 2.4787?(10) and 2.4410?(10)?Å. A chain along the c axis is formed by C-H?N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions and a weak ?-? inter-action is observed between the pyrimidine rings of two adjacent parallel chains [centroid-centroid distance = 3.722?(2)?Å]. N-H?Cl, CN-H?Cl and N-H?O interactions also occur.

The Zn(II) ion displays a distorted tetra-hedral coordination environment with four S atoms from two S,S'-chelated N-(trifluoro-methyl-sulfonyl-)dithio-carbimate anions. In the crystal, besides the ionic inter-action of the oppositely charged ions, inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions between cations and anions are observed. One of the cations inter-acts with an inversion-related equivalent by ?-? stacking between phenyl rings, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.932?(4)?Å.

Project description:The structure of the title salt, (C(6)H(8)N)(2)[CuCl(3.4)Br(0.6)], consists of two 3-methyl-pyridinium cations and a distorted tetra-hedral [CuCl(3.4)Br(0.6)](2-) dianion. Substitutional disorder with Br is exhibited for three of the Cl atoms of the anion, giving a mixed chloride/bromide cuprate(II) anion. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(2)[CuCl(4)], consists of one cation and one half-anion, bis-ected by a twofold rotation axis through the metal center. The anion exhibits a geometry that is inter-mediate between a T(d) and D(4h) arrangement about the Cu atom. The crystal structure contains chains of cations alternating with stacks of anions. The cationic groups inter-act via offset face-to-face π-π stacking, forming chains running along the c axis. The anion stacks are parallel to the cation chains, with no significant inter- nor intra-stack Cl⋯Cl inter-actions. There are several anion-cation hydrogen-bonding inter-actions of the (N-H)(pyridine)⋯Cl and (N-H)(amino)⋯Cl types, connecting the chains of cations to the stacks of anions. Both the N-H⋯Cl and π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances 3.61 (8) and 3.92 (2) Å] contribute to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(22)H(28)N(2)O(6)S(2), the asymmetric unit contains one half mol-ecule with a center of symmetry at the mid-point of the central C-C bond. The conformations of all the N-H, C= O and C-H bonds in the central amide and aliphatic segments are anti to their adjacent bonds. The mol-ecule is bent at the S atom with an C-SO(2)-NH-C(O) torsion angle of -76.4?(3)°. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the SO(2)-NH-C(O) segment in the two halves of the mol-ecule is 67.2?(1)°. In the crystal, N-H?O(C) inter-molecular hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains along the b axis.
