Poly[bis-[μ-1,3-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propane-κP:P']-di-μ-thio-cyanato-κS:N;κN:S-disilver(I)].

ABSTRACT: In the title coordination polymer, [Ag(2)(NCS)(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))(2)](n), two centrosymmetrically related Ag(+) cations are linked by two thio-cyanate anions into binuclear eight-membered macrocycles. The Ag⋯Ag separation within the macrocycle is 5.4400 (6) Å. The distorted tetra-hedral coordination about each metal atom is completed by the P atoms of two bridging 1,3-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propane ligands, forming polymeric ribbons parallel to the a axis.

Project description:The title compound, [Au(2)Br(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))], features linearly coordinated Au(I) atoms within P,Br-donor sets. The central portion of the mol-ecule is practically planar as quanti-fied by the Br-Au⋯Au-Br torsion angle of -169.9 (2)°. The P-Au-Br chromophores are twisted with respect to each other [dihedral angle = 52.3 (6)°]. The benzene rings on each P atom lie on either side of this plane. The Au atoms are positioned at the periphery of the mol-ecule, which facilitates the formation of Au⋯Au inter-actions [3.2575 (11) Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular chains along the b-axis direction. The Au⋯Au inter-actions are responsible for the deviations from the ideal linear geometry for each Au atom.

The asymmetric unit comprises one nickel cation, two thio-cyanate anions and two actonitrile mol-ecules. In the crystal, the Ni(II) cations are connected by bridging thio-cyanate anions into a three-dimensional coordination network.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cd(NCS)(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)](n), consists of two crystallographically independent Cd(II) cations, four thio-cyanato anions and four pyridine ligands. The Cd(II) atoms are each coordinated by four N atoms from two pyridine ligands and two thio-cyanato anions, each in a mutually cis orientation, and by two S atoms from two adjacent thio-cyanato anions within a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The Cd(II) atoms are μ-1,3-bridged via the thio-cyanato anions into polymeric chains parallel to [001]. The Cd(II)⋯Cd(II) intra-chain separations range between 5.9688 (6) and 6.0195 (6) Å, whereas the shortest Cd(II)⋯Cd(II) inter-chain separations are 7.8272 (7) and 8.6312 (6) Å.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, {(C(12)H(14)N(2))[Fe(NCS)(4)]}(n), the iron(II) cation is coordinated by four N-bonded and two S-bonded thio-cyanate anions in a distorted octa-hedral coordination mode. The asymmetric unit consists of half an iron(II) cation and half a protonated (E)-4,4'-(ethane-1,2-di-yl)dipyridinium dication, each located on a centre of inversion. In addition, there are two thio-cyanate anions in general positions. The crystal structure consists of Fe-(NCS)(2)-Fe chains in which each iron(II) cation is additionally coordinated by two terminal N-bonded thio-cyanate anions. Non-coordinating dipyridinium dications are present between the thiocyanatoferrate(II) chains and are connected to the anions via N-H⋯N and N-H⋯S hydrogen-bond interactions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(NCS)(C3H8N2S)(C27H26P2)], contains two independent mononuclear complex mol-ecules. In each, the Cu(I) ion exhibits a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by coordination with two P atoms from one 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppm) ligand, one terminal S atom of one N,N'-di-methyl-thio-urea (dmtu) ligand and one terminal N atom of the thio-cyanato ligand. The dppp ligand is involved in a bidentate coordination mode with the Cu(I) ion, forming a six-membered CuP2C3 ring. In both mol-ecules, the coordination of the dmtu ligand is further stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond with an S(6) graph-set motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds forming a zigzag chain along the a-axis direction. In one independent mol-ecule, one of the phenyl rings of the dppp ligand is disordered over two sites with refined occupancies 0.639 (11):0.361 (11) and this corresponds with a mutual disorder of the dmtu ligand in the other independent mol-ecule giving the same ratio of refined occupancies. The structure was refined as a two-component inversion twin.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Co(NCO)(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(2)](n), the Co(II) cation is coordinated by four N-bonded pyrazine ligands and two N-bonded cyanate anions in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The crystal structure consists of μ-N:N' pyrazine-bridged cobalt cyanate chains; these are further linked by additional μ-N:N'-bridging pyrazine ligands into layers, which are stacked perpendicular to the crystallographic a axis. The C and O atoms in both crystallographic independent cyanate anions are disordered in two orientations and were refined using a split model with site occupation factor ratios of 0.75/0.25 and 0.7/0.3.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title polymeric complex, {[Ag(2)Cl(CH(4)N(2)S)(2)]NO(3)}(n), consists of a binuclear cationic complex and a nitrate counter-ion. The cationic complex contains two bridging thio-urea (Tu) ligands and a triply bridging μ(3)-Cl anion. The latter is probably released from 2-amino-ethane-thiol hydro-chloride during the synthesis. The coordination environment around the two Ag(I) atoms is different; one is trigonal planar, being coordinated by two thio-urea ligands through the S atoms and to one Cl(-) ion, while in the other the Ag(I) atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two thio-urea ligands through the S atoms and to two Cl(-) ions. These units aggregate through the Cl(-) anion and the Tu S atoms, forming a chain propagating in [100]. In the crystal structure, the polymeric chains are linked via N-H⋯O and N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a double layer two-dimensional network propagating in (011).

Project description:In the title compound, [Pd(C(5)H(4)NS)(C(18)H(14)PS)(C(18)H(15)P)], the Pd(II) atom has a slightly distorted square-planar environment. Two coordination sites are occupied by a P,S-chelating 2-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)benzene-thiol-ate ligand and the other two by a P atom from a triphenyl-phosphine ligand and an S atom from a pyridine-2-thiol-ate ligand, exhibiting a trans arrangement of the two P-donor atoms. In the crystal structure, weak intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions are observed. The pyridyl ring is equally disordered over two positions.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(2)(C(3)H(6)S(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(CO)(4)], which might serve as an active-site model of [FeFe]-hydrogenase, contains two fused Fe/S/C/C/C/S six-membered rings, one of which has a chair conformation and the other a boat conformation. Each Fe atom is coordinated by two carbonyl ligands, a triphenyl-phosphane ligand and a bis-bidentate dithiol-ate ligand, and also forms an Fe-Fe bond [2.5167 (16) Å]. Together, the six bonded atoms form a very distorted octa-hedral arrangement.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Zn(NCSe)(2)(C(4)H(4)N(2))(2)](n), consists of one Zn(2+) cation located on a special position with site symmetry 2/m, one seleno-cyanate anion on a mirror plane and one pyrimidine ligand on a twofold rotation axis. The zinc cation is coordinated by six N atoms of four pyrimidine ligands and two N-bonded seleno-cyanate anions in mutually trans orientations within a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The Zn atoms are μ-1,3-bridged via the pyrimidine ligands into a polymeric layer extending parallel to (100).
