N'-(5-Bromo-2-hy-droxy-benzyl-idene)-3-nitro-benzohydrazide methanol mono-solvate.


ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(14)H(10)BrN(3)O(4)·CH(4)O, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings in the hydrazone mol-ecule is 5.8?(3)° and an intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. An O-H?O hydrogen bond occurs between the hydrazone mol-ecule and the methanol solvent mol-ecule. In the crystal, the components are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a axis.
