Diffusion of small molecules inside a peptide hydrogel.


ABSTRACT: A set of four phenylalanine analogues experiences diffusion retardation when transferred from phosphate-buffered saline into a peptide hydrogel of the same pH and ionic strength. The extent of retardation increases linearly with logP(oct), their lipophilicity.
