{4,4',6,6'-Tetra-chloro-2,2'-[2,2-dimethyl-propane-1,3-diylbis(nitrilo-methanylyl-idene)]}nickel(II).

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ni(C(19)H(16)Cl(4)N(2)O(2))], the Ni(II) ion is in a distorted square-planar environment coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms of the tetra-dentate ligand. The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 24.8 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into chains along the b axis by weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl inter-actions. An inter-molecular Cl⋯Cl [3.4564 (19) Å] inter-action is present which is shorter than the sum of the van der Waals radii of Cl atoms (3.50 Å).
