Poly[μ(3)-β-alanine-aqua-μ(4)-sulfato-dilithium].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Li(2)(SO(4))(C(3)H(7)NO(2))(H(2)O)](n), is a coordination polymer in which the β-alanine residues remain in the zwitterionic form. The crystal structure consists of corrugated sheets of [LiO(4)] and [SO(4)] tetra-hedra parallel to (010) with the β-alanine mol-ecules located between the sheets. The two independent Li(+) cations are four-coordinated by O atoms in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The crystal structure is formed by stacking of alternate organic and inorganic layers along the a axis. The crystal structure is further stabilized by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

One Er(III) ion is coordinated by four O atoms from two imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, three O atoms from three SO(4) (2-) anions and one water O atom; the other Er(III) ion is bonded to five O atoms from three imdc ligands, two O atoms from two SO(4) (2-) anions as well as one coordinated water mol-ecule. The coordinated metal units are connected by bridging imdc ligands and sulfate ions, generating a two-dimensional heterometallic layer. The two-dimensional layers are stacked along the b axis via N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between water mol-ecules, SO(4) (2-) anions, and imdc ligands, generating a three-dimensional framework.

Project description:In the polymeric title compound, {[Mn(2)(SO(4))(2)(C(30)H(36)N(6))(H(2)O)(2)]·6H(2)O}(n), the two Mn(2+) ions are bridged by two sulfate anions to form dinuclear complexes, and these dinuclear species are linked by the hexa-dentate ligand N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis(2-pyridylmeth-yl)hexane-1,6-diamine (tphn), forming a one-dimensional chain structure running in the [101] direction. The repeat unit of the polymer, Mn(2)(SO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(tphn), is disposed about a twofold axis passing through the centre of the dinuclear unit. The coordination geometry around the Mn centre is distorted octa-hedral. Two methylene groups are each disordered equally over two positions.

Project description:The title compound, [Nd(OH)(SO(4))](n), was obtained hydro-thermally from an aqueous solution of neodymium nitrate, 1,2-propane-diamine and sulfuric acid. The structure features nona-coordinated neodymium with sulfate and hydroxide anions acting as bridging ligands. The OH group forms a weak O-H⋯O hydrogen bond with an O⋯O distance of 3.224 (5) Å.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [Li(2)(C(6)H(2)N(2)O(2))(H(2)O)(2)](n) the pyrazine-2,5-dicarboxyl-ate dianionic ligand bridges two symmetry-independent Li(+) ions using both its N,O-chelating sites. The carboxyl-ate O atom of one of them also bridges to another Li(+) ion, while the second O atom of this group is bonded to another Li(+) ion. Two symmetry-independent water O atoms participate also in the bridging system, which gives rise to a polymeric three-dimensional framework. Both Li(+) ions show distorted trigonal-bipyramidal LiNO(4) coordination geometries, with the N atom in an axial site in both cases. The packing is consolidated by O-H?O hydrogen bonds, which occur between water mol-ecules as donors and carboxyl-ate O atoms as acceptors.

Project description:In the title compound, [Sr(C(8)H(4)O(4))(H(2)O)](n), the Sr(II) atom exhibits coordination number eight, with six O atoms from four carboxylate groups (two bidentate and two monodentate) of terephthalate ligands and two water O atoms. The SrO(8) polyhedra are linked into inorganic chains by sharing three coplanar O atoms. These inorganic chains are extended along the b axis to form layers in the ab plane by O-C-O linking. Project description:In the title polymeric complex, [Sr(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(H(2)O)(2)](n), the Sr(II) atom is eight-coordinated by four O atoms and one N atom of four pyridine-2,4-dicarboxyl-ate (py-2,4-dc) ligands and three O atoms of three coordinated water mol-ecules in a dodeca-hedral geometry. Project description:The title complex, [CoNa(CO5P)(H2O)5]n, was obtained by reacting sodium phosphono-formate with cobalt nitrate. The complex contains cobalt(II) and sodium ions, which are bridged by the O atoms of two aqua ligands. The Co(II) ion is octahedrally coordinated by three phosphonoformato ligands (one bi- and the other monodentate) and by two O atoms from the bridging aqua ligands. The sodium cation is hexa-coordinated by six O atoms from four bridging and two terminal aqua ligands. The complex mol-ecules are linked to give a three-dimensional structure by phosphono-formate ligands bridging Co(II) atoms and water mol-ecules establishing cobalt-sodium bridges. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the aqua ligands and all O atoms of the phosphono-formato ligand and neighbouring aqua ligands help to consolidate the packing.

Project description:The reaction of lead(II) nitrate and benzoic acid in aqueous solution yields the title polymer, [Pb(C(7)H(5)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n). The asymmetric unit contains one Pb(II) ion, two benzoate ligands and one water mol-ecule. The Pb-O bond distances are in the range 2.494 (4)-2.735 (4) Å. The Pb⋯Pb distance is 4.0683 (4) Å, indicating an insignificant metal-metal inter-action. The Pb(II) atom has a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry chelated by two carboxyl-ate O atoms. The Pb atoms are bridged through a coordinating water mol-ecule and two carboxyl-ate O atoms from another two benzoate ligands, giving an infinite three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involved the coordinating water and carboxyl-ate O atoms enhance the stability of the supra-molecular arrangement.

Project description:The Ce(IV) atom in the title salt, {(H(3)NCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)NH(3))(2)[Ce(SO(4))(4)(H(2)O)]·2H(2)O}(n), exists in a monocapped square-anti-prismatic coordination geometry. The water-coordinated metal atom is bonded to four sulfate ions; one of them is monodentate and two function in a chelating mode. The fourth is also chelating but it uses one of the other two O atoms to bind to an adjacent metal atom, generating a polyanionic chain. The cations are linked to the polyanionic chain as well as to the uncoordinated water mol-ecules, resulting in an O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional network.
