Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(13)H(9)F(3)N)], was prepared by a condensation reaction from ferrocenylcarbaldehyde and 4-(trifluoro-meth-yl)aniline. The cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) rings are coplanar [dihedral angle = 1.4 (3)°] and the imine function is situated in the same plane. The aromatic substituent is bent out of the plane of the Cp ring to which the imine group is attached by 44.5 (4)°. The F atoms of the trifluoro-methyl substituent are disordered [occupancies 0.52 (2)/0.48 (2)].

Project description:The title compound, C(14)H(10)F(3)NO(3), was prepared by a palladium-catalysed Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction. The dihedral angle between the nitro group and its parent benzene ring is 66.85?(19)° while the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 49.98?(9)°. The CF(3) group is disordered over two sets of sites with occupancies of 0.457?(8) and 0.543?(8).

Project description:In the title compound, C(18)H(17)ClN(2)O, the quinoline ring system is essentially planar; the r.m.s. deviation for the non-H atoms is 0.04?Å with a maximum deviation from the mean plane of 0.026?(4)?Å for the C atom bonded to the -CH(2)- group. The meth-oxy-substituted benzene ring forms a dihedral angle of 70.22?(4)° with this ring system. The crystal structure can be described as zigzag layers in which the quinoline ring systems are parallel to (011) and molecules are connected via inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [100]. The crystal studied was an inversion twin with a 0.86?(5):0.14?(5) domain ratio.

Inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the amine and meth-oxy groups lead to the formation of a chain-like polymer along the c axis with a C(6) graph set. There is also weak non-classical C-H?N hydrogen bonds involving an aromatic C-H group and a diazenyl N atom, which connect the chains into a two-dimensional framework.
