ABSTRACT: In the cation of the title compound, C(23)H(25)N(4)O(+)·PF(6) (-), the imidazolium ring make dihedral angles of 87.20?(6) and 79.89?(5)° with the pyridine ring and the quinoline system, respectively. In the crystal, C-H?F and C-H?N hydrogen bonds are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, C(20)H(24)N(4) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), the ethene and 3-allyl-imidazolium moieties of the cation are disordered over two positions with refined site occupancies of 0.664?(19):0.336?(19) and 0.784?(7):0.216?(7), respectively, whereas four F atoms of one hexa-fluoridophosphate anion and all atoms in the other hexa-fluoridophosphate anion are disordered over two positions with refined site occupancies of 0.764?(5):0.2365) and 0.847?(9):0.153?(9), respectively. The benzene ring is inclined at angles of 78.2?(3), 81.3?(4) and 73.9?(12)° with the 1H-imidazol-3-ium ring and the major and minor components of the disordered 1H-imidazol-3-ium ring, respectively. In the crystal, the hexa-fluoridophosphate anions link the cations into two-dimensional networks parallel to (001) via inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further consolidated by ?-? [centroid-centroid distance = 3.672?(3)?Å] and C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title hydrated salt, (C10H18N8S2)2[BiCl6]NO3·2H2O, contains two independent 3-amino-1-carbamo-thioyl-5-[(2-{[(5-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium-4-yl)meth-yl]sulfan-yl}eth-yl)amino]-1H-1,2,4-triazol-4-ium cations, one hexa-chloridobismuthate anion, one nitrate anion and two solvent water mol-ecules. The dihedral angles between the imidazole and triazole rings in the cations are 44.7 (3) and 89.4 (3)°. The Bi(III) ion is coordinated by six chloride ligands in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. In each cation, an intra-molecular N-H⋯S hydrogen bond is observed. In the crystal, N-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯S, N-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl, O-H⋯S and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect the components into a three-dimensional network. There is an intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bond involving the hy-droxy group and a pyridine N atom forming an S(9) ring motif. The dihedral angles between the planes of the quinolinol moiety and the pyridine rings are 44.15?(9) and 36.85?(9)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds forming inversion dimers with an R 4 (4)(10) ring motif. The dimers are linked by C-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons along [01-1].
