ABSTRACT: The central Co(II) ion in the title complex, [Co(C(16)H(19)N(5))(2)](NO(3))(2), is located on a twofold rotation axis and has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination sphere. It is bonded to six N atoms from two 2-[bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)meth-yl]pyridine ligands. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Co(C(10)H(16)BN(4))(2)], comprises one unit of the complex. The geometry around the Co(II) ion is a distorted tetra-hedron. The dihedral angles between the pyrazole rings in the two ligands are 47.19 (15) and 47.20 (16)°, while that between the coordination planes is 79.77 (7)°.

Project description:The title zinc complex, [ZnCl(2)(C(18)H(22)N(4))], contains a bidentate 1,2-bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benz-ene ligand that binds to the zinc atom, forming a nine-membered metallocyclic ring. The geometry about the Zn atom is distorted tetra-hedral, with the largest deviation observed in the magnitude of the Cl-Zn-Cl angle. Similar distortions are observed in the cobalt analogue and related zinc compounds containing metallocyclic rings with more than six members. The copper analogue exhibits a more severe distortion of the metal coordination sphere than is observed in the title compound.

The molecule adapts a cis bridging mode with a C-Se-C angle of 102.13 (15)°. π-π stacking inter-actions are observed between the closest pyrazole rings of neighboring chains [centroid-centroid distance = 3.888 (1) Å] and hydrogen bonding occurs through bridging chloride anions and hydroxide groups. Additionally, O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds are formed.

Project description:In the title centrosymmetric tetra-nuclear complex, [Cu(4)I(4)(C(15)H(17)N(5))(2)], the two distinct Cu(I) atoms adopt similar tetra-hedral arrangements, each being ligated by two I atoms, and two N atoms from one 2,6-bis-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine ligand. In the crystal, there are no hydrogen bonds present, and only very weak ?-? inter-actions are observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.985?(4)?Å], which connect neighbouring tetra-nuclear units into a chain motif along the b axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(38)H(30)N(4), a potentially mono- and bidentate ligand, does not seem to form palladium complexes similar to other poly(pyrazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benzenes due to the large steric size of the phenyl substituents on the pyrazole rings. The pyrazole rings have a 21.09?(5)° angle between their mean planes and exhibit a trans-like geometry in which the in-plane lone pairs of electrons on the 2-N nitrogen atoms point in opposite directions.

Project description:In the title complex, [CoCl2(C25H21N5)], the Co(II) atom is coordinated by two Cl atoms and two N atoms, provided by a tridentate pyrazolylpyridyl ligand, forming a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry [range of angles: 96.51 (10) (chelate ring) to 118.60 (9)°]. The dihedral angle between Cl/Co/Cl and N/Co/N planes is 86.83 (7)°. The chelate ring has the conformation of a distorted boat. The dihedral angle between pyridyl ring and the coordinated pyrazolyl ring is 56.16 (12)°. The uncoordinated pyrazolyl ring is almost perpendicular to the pyridyl ring with the dihedral angle of 87.49 (10)°. In the crystal packing, inter-molecular phenyl-C-H ⋯π(pyrid-yl) inter-actions generate dimeric aggregates. These are connected into a zigzag supra-molecular chain along the c-axis direction via π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distance between pyridyl and phenyl rings = 3.664 (2) Å].
