ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Pd(2)Cl(4)(C(18)H(22)N(4))]·C(7)H(8), each of the two four-coordinated Pd(II) atoms is in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry, defined by one N atom from the ligand, two bridging Cl atoms and one terminal Cl atom. Inter-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions between the pyrazole ring H atom and the toluene ring stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title complex, [Fe(2)Cl(2)(C(11)H(16)N(4))(4)][FeCl(4)](2), the asymmetric unit is composed of one and a half units of [Fe(bdmpm)(2)Cl](2)(FeCl(4))(2)(bdmpm = bis(bis(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane). The three independent Fe(II) atom have a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry comprising two bridging chloride anions and four N atoms from two bis-(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligands. The Fe(III) atom has a tetra-hedral coordination geometry comprising four chloride anions.

Project description:The title compound, C(38)H(30)N(4), a potentially mono- and bidentate ligand, does not seem to form palladium complexes similar to other poly(pyrazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benzenes due to the large steric size of the phenyl substituents on the pyrazole rings. The pyrazole rings have a 21.09?(5)° angle between their mean planes and exhibit a trans-like geometry in which the in-plane lone pairs of electrons on the 2-N nitrogen atoms point in opposite directions.

Project description:The title compound, [PdCl(C(14)H(23)N(5))]Cl·0.25H(2)O, is a pseudopolymorph of the previously reported compound [PdCl(C(14)H(23)N(5))]Cl·2H(2)O [de Mendoza et al. (2006 ?). Acta Cryst. E62, m2934-m2936]. The cationic complex and chloride anion are disordered over two positions each in a 0.584?(4):0.416?(4) ratio. The geometry about the Pd atom is distorted square-planar. The pyrazole rings are almost perpendicular, forming a dihedral angle of 86.6?(6)° to each other, to mitigate steric conflict between their methyl groups.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pd(2)(C(9)H(12)NSe)(2)Cl(2)]·0.5CH(2)Cl(2), contains two half-mol-ecules, each lying on a twofold axis; each mol-ecule is chiral and of the same enanti-omer. This is only possible as the mol-ecule has a hinged cis arrangement about the Pd(2+) coordination spheres. For this hinged dimeric structure, the angles between the two coordination planes in each mol-ecule are 15.02 (5) and 14.91 (5)°. This hinged cis arragement also allows the two mol-ecules to form pairs linked by secondary inter-actions between the Pd and Se atoms [3.4307 (9) and 3.4317 (9) Å] of adjoining mol-ecules, leading to an overall tetra-meric structure. During the refinement stages, it was noticed that there were dichloromethane solvent mol-ecules present disordered about a twofold axis. After unsuccessful attempts were made to model this, they were removed using SQUEEZE.

Project description:The title zinc complex, [ZnCl(2)(C(18)H(22)N(4))], contains a bidentate 1,2-bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-ylmeth-yl)benz-ene ligand that binds to the zinc atom, forming a nine-membered metallocyclic ring. The geometry about the Zn atom is distorted tetra-hedral, with the largest deviation observed in the magnitude of the Cl-Zn-Cl angle. Similar distortions are observed in the cobalt analogue and related zinc compounds containing metallocyclic rings with more than six members. The copper analogue exhibits a more severe distortion of the metal coordination sphere than is observed in the title compound.

Project description:In the title compound, [Yb(C(24)H(40)BN(6))(2)]·C(7)H(8), the Yb atom is coordinated by two tris(3-tert-butyl-5-methyl-pyrazol-1-yl)hydridoborate [Tp(tBu,Me)] ligands. One ligand binds in the κ(3) mode, throuh three N atoms of the pyrazolyl rings, the other ligand coordinates through two N atoms of the pyrazolyl rings and the H atom attached to the central B via an agostic-type inter-action through the B-H group of the second Tp(tBu,Me) ligand, giving an overall distorted octa-hedral geometry. One of the tert-butyl groups is disordered over two sites, with occupancies of 0.65 and 0.35.

Project description:In the title complex, [Mn(C(11)H(10)N(3)O(2))(2)]·2C(7)H(4)N(2)O(6), the Mn(II) atom has a disorted octa-hedral coordination formed by four N and two O atoms of two mer-6-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)picolinate ligands (DMPP). Each of the two symmetry-independent 3,5-dinitro-benzoic acid mol-ecules is linked to the mol-ecule of the complex via a hydrogen bond involving its carboxylic H atom and one of the DMPP ligands of the complex. However, in one of the DMPP ligands, the non-coordinated carbonyl O atom serves as the hydrogen-bond acceptor, whereas in the second ligand it is the Mn-coordinated O atom which is involved in the hydrogen bonding.

Project description:In the title compound, [Al(3)LaCl(12)(C(12)H(18))]·C(6)H(6), all mol-ecules are located on a mirror plane. Three chloridoaluminate groups and a hexa-methyl-benzene mol-ecule are bound to the central lanthanum(III) ion, forming a distorted penta-gonal bipyramid with the η(6)-coordinated arene located at the apical position. The hexa-methyl-benzene ligand disordered between two orientations in a 1:1 ratio is also involved in parallel-slipped π-π stacking inter-molecular inter-actions with a benzene solvent mol-ecule [centroid-centroid distance 3.612 (4) Å].

Project description:In the title compound, {[Cu(C(10)H(14)N(4)Se)(2)](ClO(4))(2)}(n), the Cu(II) ion is located on a twofold rotation axis and has a tetra-gonally distorted square-planar geometry constituted by four N atoms. A pair of bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl) selenide (L) ligands bridges the copper centers into a polymeric chain extending along [001]. The perchlorate anions are involved in inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, which links the chains into layers parallel to the bc plane.
