ABSTRACT: By the action of D-fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolases (FruA) from rabbit muscle and Staphylococcus carnosus, various ketoses were synthesized from glyceraldehydes or other aliphatic aldehydes as acceptors in a one-pot four-enzyme system.
