Dilead(II) trimanganese(II) bis(hydrogenphosphate) bis(phosphate).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, Pb(2)Mn(3)(HPO(4))(2)(PO(4))(2), was synthesized by a hydro-thermal method. All atoms are in general positions except for one Mn atom which is located on an inversion center. The framework of the structure is built up from PO(4) tetra-hedra and two types of MnO(6) octa-hedra, one almost ideal and the other very distorted with one very long Mn-O bond [2.610 (4) Å compared an average of 2.161 Å for the other bonds]. The centrosymetric octa-hedron is linked to two distorted MnO(6) octa-hedra by an edge common, forming infinite zigzag Mn(3)O(14) chains running along the b axis. Adjacent chains are linked by PO(4) and PO(3)(OH) tetra-hedra through vertices or by edge sharing, forming sheets perpendicular to [100]. The Pb(2+) cations are sandwiched between the layers and ensure the cohesion of the crystal structure. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the layers is also observed.

Project description:The title compound, Sr2Mn3(HPO4)2(PO4)2, was synthesized under hydro-thermal conditions. In the structure, one of two Mn atoms is located on an inversion centre, whereas all others atoms are located in general positions. The framework structure is built up from two types of MnO6 octa-hedra (one almost undistorted, one considerably distorted), one PO3OH and one PO4 tetra-hedron. The centrosymmetric MnO6 octa-hedron is linked to two other MnO6 octa-hedra by edge-sharing, forming infinite zigzag chains parallel to [010]. The PO3OH and PO4 tetra-hedra connect these chains through common vertices or edges, resulting in the formation of sheets parallel to (100). The Sr(2+) cation is located in the inter-layer space and is bonded to nine O atoms in form of a distorted polyhedron and enhances the cohesion of the layers. Additional stabilization is achieved by a strong inter-layer O-H⋯O hydrogen bond between the PO3OH and PO4 units. The structure of the title phosphate is isotypic to that of Pb2Mn3(HPO4)2(PO4)2.

Project description:In the title complex, [Mn(3)(CH(3)CO(2))(6)(C(2)H(6)SO)(2)](n), the Mn(II) ions exhibit similar MnO(6) octa-hedral coordination geometries but with different coordination environments. One type of Mn(II) ion is surrounded by five acetate groups and a terminal dimethyl sulfoxide group, while the other lies on a twofold axis and is coordinated by six O atoms from three symmetry-related acetate ions. The acetate anions exhibit three independent bridging modes, which flexibly bridge the Mn(II) ions along the c-axis direction, forming an infinite chain structure; the chains are further inter-connected through weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯S hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The complex molecule of the title compound, [Mn(3)(C(7)H(5)O(2))(6)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)]·H(2)O, contains a linear array of divalent manganese ions. The central Mn(II) atom, which is located on a crystallographic inversion center, is coordinated octa-hedrally by six benzoate O atoms. The two terminal Mn(II) ions are six-coordinated by four benzoate O atoms and two N atoms of 2,2'-bipyridyl. The central Mn(II) atom and the terminal Mn(II) ions are bridged by four benzoate ligands in a bidentate fashion, whereas the other two carboxyl-ate ligands form bridges through one O atom only and chelate the terminal Mn(II) atom. The mol-ecules pack together via van der Waals attractions and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, {[Mn(3)(C(10)H(5)O(7))(2)(C(10)H(8)N(2))(2)]·H(2)O}(n), was synthesized under hydro-thermal conditions. Six carboxyl-ate groups of six 5-(carboxyl-atometh-oxy)benzene-1,3-dicarboxyl-ate anions (OABDC(3-)) join three Mn(II) ions into a trinuclear centrosymmetric [Mn(3)(μ(2)-COO)(6)] unit with one Mn site situated on a centre of inversion. The latter Mn(II) ion exhibits a distorted MnO(6) coordination, whereas the other Mn(II) ion has a trigonal-bipyramidal MnN(2)O(3) coordination environment resulting from three carboxylate O atoms and the two N atoms of the bipyridine ligand. Adjacent units are linked to each other by OABDC(3-) ligands into a layer parallel to (010). Within the layer, O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving the uncoordinated and half-occupied water mol-ecule and the free carboxyl-ate O atoms are observed. The layers stack along [010], constructing a three-dimensional structure through π-π inter-actions between adjacent pyridine rings, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.473 (5) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, Pb(2)(HPO(3))(NO(3))(2), the two distinct Pb(2+) ions (both with site symmetry m) adopt irregular PbO(10) coordination polyhedra. The structure is completed by two distinct nitrate groups (in which one O atom and the N atom have m site symmetry for both ions) and an HPO(3) (2-) anion (in which one O atom and the P and H atoms have m site symmetry). The connectivity of the PbO(10), NO(3) and HPO(3) units in the crystal structure results in a three-dimensional network.

Dilead(II) chromium(III) hepta-fluoride.

Project description:Single crystals of the title compound, Pb(2)CrF(7), were obtained by solid-state reaction. The monoclinic structure is isotypic with Pb(2)RhF(7) and is built up of CrF(6) (3-) octa-hedra isolated from each other, inserted in a fluorite-related matrix of PbF(6) distorted octa-hedra, and PbF(8) square anti-prisms sharing edges and corners. The seventh F atom is 'independent', connected only to three Pb atoms within FPb(3) triangles, sharing an edge and building an almost planar Pb(4)F(2) unit, so that the formula can alternatively be written as Pb(2)F(CrF(6)).

Project description:In the title compound, [Mn(3)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(3)(C(14)H(8)N(4))(2)](n), one Mn atom is located on an inversion centre and is six-coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from different benzene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate (1,4-bdc) ligands and two phenanthrene N atoms from a dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine ligand. The other Mn atom is also six-coordinate, binding to six carboxyl-ate O atoms from different 1,4-bdc ligands. The dicarboxyl-ate groups chelate and bridge the two Mn atoms and a symmetry-related Mn atom to form a trimanganese unit. Bridging of the trinuclear Mn(II) clusters leads to a two-dimensional structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title Pb-based coordination polymer, [Pb2(C24H16N2O8)(H2O)2] n , consists of one Pb(II) cation, half of a 4,4'-(1,4-phenyl-ene)bis-(2,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3,5-di-carb-oxyl-ate (L (4-)) ligand and one coordinating water mol-ecule. The centers of the benzene ring of the ligand and the four-membered Pb/O/Pb/O ring are located on centers of inversion. The Pb(II) ion is coordinated in form of a distorted polyhedron by seven O atoms from four separate L (4-) ligands and by one water O atom. The PbO7 polyhedra share O atoms, forming infinite zigzag [PbO4(H2O)] n chains along [100] that are bridged by L (4-) ligands, forming a two-dimensional coordination network parallel to (001). O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecule are observed.

Project description:The Pb(II )atom in the title compound, {[Pb(2)(C(7)H(6)NO(2))(4)]}(n), is chelated by two 3-aminobenzoato ligands in a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry with five oxygen donors in the equatorial positions, one nitro-gen donor and one oxygen donor in the axial positions. Two mol-ecules are linked through a centre of inversion, forming a dinuclear entity. These entities are linked in a μ(3)-bridging mode through the amino N atom and two carboxyl-ate O atoms into a chain along the b axis. Classical inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding is observed in the structure. The supra-molecular structure is consolidated by π-π stacking inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances between benzene rings of 3.837 (8) Å.

The coordination environment of the Zn(2+) ion is distorted square-pyramidal and it is coordinated by N(2)O(2) of the Schiff base ligand and chloride; each Pb(2+) ion is coordinated by the four 6,6'-dimeth-oxy-2,2'-[o-phenyl-ene-bis(nitrilo-methyl-idyne)]diphenolate (L) O atoms and two chloride ions. The Zn(II)Pb(II) dinuclear unit, through an inversion-symmetry operation, forms a tetra-meric complex with double chloride bridges.
