ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ag(2)(C(10)H(6)NO(2))(2)](n), the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by one N atom and two O atoms from three quinoline-3-carboxyl-ate ligands in a T-shaped fashion, with an additional Ag?Ag distance of 2.9468?(6)?Å. The ligands connect the Ag(I) atoms into a double-chain structure along [010]. Weak Ag?O inter-actions [Ag?O = 2.802?(3) and 2.877?(4)?Å] link the double-chains into a layer network parallel to (101). ?-? inter-actions are also observed in the layer network [centroid-centroid distances = 3.780?(3) and 3.777?(3)?Å].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Zn(C(10)H(6)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n), consists of one quinoline-4-carboxyl-ate anion, half of a Zn(2+) cation and half of a coordinated water mol-ecule. The cation and the water O atom have crystallographically imposed inversion and twofold rotation symmetry, respectively. The metal centre displays an elongated ZnO(6) octa-hedral coordination geometry provided by the O atoms of four anions at the equatorial plane and two axial water mol-ecules. Each anion and water mol-ecule act as bridges between Zn(II) cations, forming a polymeric chain parallel to [001]. The chains are further linked into a three-dimensional framework through O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title silver(I) coordination polymer, {[Ag(2)(C(6)H(5)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the [Ag(2)(?(2)-H(2)O)(H(2)O)] cores are extended by anti-parallel 5-methyl-pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate (L) ligands, forming a novel double-chain structure. Both Ag(+) cations show a distorted square-pyramidal coordination. Ag1 is bonded to two water molecules, one L N atom, one N atom and one carboxylate O atom from a neighbouring L, whereas Ag2 is surrounded by two L N atoms, two L carboxylate O atoms and one bridging water molecule. O-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving water clusters and carboxyl-ate O atoms link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture, which is further consolidated by weak C-H?O inter-actions and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance 3.643?(5)?Å].

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(C(16)H(10.5)NO(2))(2)], the Ag(I) cation (site symmetry 2) is coordinated by two N atoms in a near-linear AgN(2) arrangement. Two carboxyl-ate O atoms from two additional 2-phenyl-quinoline-4-carboxyl-ate ligands form long Ag-O bonds [2.6585?(17)?Å], resulting in a distorted square-planar arrangement. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Li(4)(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]Cl(2), contains two Li(I) cations, one with a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal and the other with a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry. Two symmetry-related asymmetric units constitute a building block of the structure, in which both ligand carboxyl-ate O atoms are bidentate and bridge the metal ions, forming a divalent cation. Charge balance is maintained by two chloride anions. The building blocks, bridged by Li(I) cations, form cationic ribbons with chloride anions in the space between them. The ribbons propagate in [010] and are held together by a network of weak O-H?O hydrogen bonds which operate in the space between adjacent ribbons.

The structure also features two somewhat long Pb?O inter-actions [2.952?(3) and 3.014?(3)?Å]. These long inter-actions give rise to a layer coordination polymer having the lead atom in a distorted ?-monocapped octa-hedral geometry.
