Bis[2-(thio-phen-2-yl)quinoxaline-?N (4)]silver(I) tetra-fluoridoborate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [Ag(C12H8N2S)2]BF4, the two-coordinate Ag(I) ion lies on a crystallographic inversion center and is linearly bonded to the N-donor atoms of two separate quinoxaline ligands. The thio-phenyl ring of the ligand is nearly coplanar with the quinoxaline ring system [dihedral angle = 9.15?(13)°]. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules pack in layers parallel to (-102) and form weak ?-? ring stacking inter-actions [minimum ring centroid separation = 3.7054?(17)?Å]. The tetra-fluoridoroborate anion is equally disordered about an inversion center.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Ag(C(9)H(7)N(3)S)(2)]BF(4), the Ag(I) ion adopts a virtually linear coordination geometry [N-Ag-N = 178.06?(11)°] with the two ligands bound to the metal atom via the pyridine N atoms. The metal-coordinated pyridine rings are almost coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 1.5?(2)°, while the two pendent pyrazine rings are arranged on the same side of the N-Ag-N line. Along the a axis, the mononuclear coordination units are stacked with ?-? inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.569?(4)?Å], leading to infinite chains. The chains are inter-connected through inter-molecular N(pyrazine)??(pyrazine) inter-actions forming layers parallel to the ab plane [N?centroid = 3.268?(5)?Å]. These layers are further stacked along the c-axis direction, furnishing a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework with the tetra-fluoridoborate anions embedded within the inter-stices.

Project description:The crystal of the title salt, [Ag(C12H8N2S)2]ClO4, has C2/c symmetry whereby the silver(I) atom sits on a twofold rotation axis, as does the perchlorate anion, which is disordered about this axis. The thienylquinoxaline ligand is nearly planar with the thienyl ring making a dihedral angle of 10.88 (8)° with respect to the quinoxaline moiety.

Project description:The title compound, C(24)H(22)N(2)O(2), was prepared by condensation of 1,2-bis-(4-ethoxy-phen-yl)ethane-1,2-dione and 1,2-diamino-benzene. The asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule, close to a twofold axis. The plane of the quinoxaline ring is twisted with respect to the planes of the two ethoxy-phenyl ring systems, exhibiting dihedral angles of 39.95?(9)°. The crystal packing is dominated by weak C-H?? inter-actions. No classical hydrogen bonds or stacking inter-actions are observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(12)Br(2)N(2), was prepared by the reaction of 1-(3-bromo-phen-yl)-2-(4-bromo-phen-yl)ethane-1,2-dione with o-phenyl-enediamine in refluxing ethanol. In the mol-ecule, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 34.89?(1)°. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings and the quinoxaline system are 57.23?(1) and 36.75?(1)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals forces.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [Ag(C(12)H(6)N(2)O(2))(2)]BF(4) or [AgL(2)]BF(4) (L = phendione), the Ag and B atoms are located on twofold rotation axes. The dihedral angle between the two phendione ligands is 36.7 (2)°. The coordination about the Ag(I) center is distorted tetra-hedral (τ(4) = 0.546). The crystal structure is consolidated by weak C-H⋯O(phendione) and C-H⋯F(BF(4) (-)) inter-actions. The BF(4) (-) counter-anion is strongly disordered and was modelled with two sets of idealized F atoms.

The Cu(I) ion is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral configuration by two N atoms from L and two P atoms from triphenyl-phosphane ligands. In the L ligand, the two pyridine rings are not coplanar; the mean planes making a dihedral angle of 15.3 (5)°. In the crystal, the ions are linked by weak C-H⋯F inter-actions.
