ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Ag(2)(C(16)H(14)N(6))(2)](BF(4))(2), forms a centrosymmetric 22-membered metallamacrocycle via two Ag(I) ions bridging two 2,3-bis-(imidazol-1-ylmeth-yl)quinoxaline ligands. The Ag(I) ions are coordinated by two N donors of the imidazole groups, forming an approximately linear coordination geometry.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(2)(C(14)H(14)N(4))(2)](C(12)H(7)O(4))(2)·4H(2)O, the dinuclear dication has crystallographically imposed inversion symmetry. Each Ag(I) ion is bicoordinated in a slightly distorted linear coordination geometry by the N atoms of two ligands, resulting in the formation of a 22-membered metallamacrocycle. In the dication, ?-? inter-actions are observed between the imidazole rings, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.528?(3)?Å and dihedral angles of 9.92?(9)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions involving the benzene rings of adjacent dications, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.651?(2)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(C12H8N2S)2]BF4, the two-coordinate Ag(I) ion lies on a crystallographic inversion center and is linearly bonded to the N-donor atoms of two separate quinoxaline ligands. The thio-phenyl ring of the ligand is nearly coplanar with the quinoxaline ring system [dihedral angle = 9.15?(13)°]. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules pack in layers parallel to (-102) and form weak ?-? ring stacking inter-actions [minimum ring centroid separation = 3.7054?(17)?Å]. The tetra-fluoridoroborate anion is equally disordered about an inversion center.

Project description:The title compound, C(24)H(22)N(2)O(2), was prepared by condensation of 1,2-bis-(4-ethoxy-phen-yl)ethane-1,2-dione and 1,2-diamino-benzene. The asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule, close to a twofold axis. The plane of the quinoxaline ring is twisted with respect to the planes of the two ethoxy-phenyl ring systems, exhibiting dihedral angles of 39.95?(9)°. The crystal packing is dominated by weak C-H?? inter-actions. No classical hydrogen bonds or stacking inter-actions are observed.

In the mol-ecule, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 34.89?(1)°. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings and the quinoxaline system are 57.23?(1) and 36.75?(1)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals forces.

Project description:In the title paramagnetic 19-electron neutral complex, [W(BH(4))(C(21)H(24)N(2))(2)(NO)(2)], the W(0) atom is coordinated by two 1,3-bis-(2,4,6-trimethyl-phen-yl)imidazol-2-yl-idene (IMes) carbene ligands, two NO groups and two H atoms of an ?(2)-tetra-hydro-borate ligand. Depending on the number of coordination sites (n) assigned to the BH(4) (-) ligand, the coordination geometry of the W atom may either be described as approximately trigonal-bipyramidal (n = 1) or as very distorted octa-hedral with the bridging H atoms filling two coordination positions (n = 2). In the latter case, the coplanar NO groups and bridging H atoms (r.m.s. deviation = 0.032?Å) form one octa-hedral plane, with mutually trans-oriented carbene ligands. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected via C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Ag(C(9)H(7)N(3)S)(2)]BF(4), the Ag(I) ion adopts a virtually linear coordination geometry [N-Ag-N = 178.06?(11)°] with the two ligands bound to the metal atom via the pyridine N atoms. The metal-coordinated pyridine rings are almost coplanar, making a dihedral angle of 1.5?(2)°, while the two pendent pyrazine rings are arranged on the same side of the N-Ag-N line. Along the a axis, the mononuclear coordination units are stacked with ?-? inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.569?(4)?Å], leading to infinite chains. The chains are inter-connected through inter-molecular N(pyrazine)??(pyrazine) inter-actions forming layers parallel to the ab plane [N?centroid = 3.268?(5)?Å]. These layers are further stacked along the c-axis direction, furnishing a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework with the tetra-fluoridoborate anions embedded within the inter-stices.

Project description:In the binuclear title compound, [Ag(2)(C(11)H(11)N(3))(2)](CF(3)O(3)S)(2), the complex cation is centrosymmetric, with the unique Ag(+) cation coordinated by two pyridine N atoms from two symmetry-related N-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)pyridin-2-amine ligands in a geometry slightly distorted from linear [N-Ag-N 161.02?(7)°]. This set-up leads to the formation of a 14-membered cyclic dimer. The two pyridine rings coordinated to the Ag(+) cation are tilted by 80.19?(7)° with respect to each other. Inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the cyclic dimer and the anion exist. A two-dimensional network parallel to the ac plane is constructed by three weak Ag?(O,N) inter-actions as well as an F?F contact of 2.890?(4)?Å.
