No classical hydrogen bonds are observed.

The mol-ecules are not planar, showing dihedral angles of 55.84 (9) and 54.10 (8)° between the piperazinedione and the aromatic rings. The piperazine N atoms exhibit a planar configuration. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, (C(12)H(20)N(2))[ZnCl(4)]·H(2)O, the two piperazine N atoms are protonated and the [ZnCl(4)](2-) anions adopt a slightly distorted tetra-hedral configuration. In the crystal, O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the tetra-chloridozincate anions and the water mol-ecules into corrugated inorganic chains parallel to [010]. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, with the N-H hydrogen bond originating from one of the two N atoms being trifurcated.

Project description:The reaction of a sulfur ylide with a chiral non-racemic sulfinyl imine afforded the desired aziridine in excellent yield and subsequent oxidation of the sulfinyl moiety dissolved in anhydrous dichloro-methane using a 75% aqueous solution of 3-chloro-per-oxy-benzoic acid afforded the title compound, C(14)H(27)NO(6)S. The configuration of the newly formed stereogenic center at the point of attachment of the 1,4-dioxane ring to the aziridine ring is S. The configurations of the pre-existing sites 2-, 5-, and 6-positions of the 1,4-dioxane ring prior to reaction of sulfinyl imine with the sulfur ylide are S, R, and R, respectively. The C-N bond lengths of the aziridine are 1.478?(2) and 1.486?(2)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(18)H(30)O(2), was prepared by Friedel-Crafts alkyl-ation of 1,4-dimeth-oxy-benzene with 2-methyl-2-butanol. The complete mol-ecule is generated by the application of a crystallographic centre of inversion. The two meth-oxy groups are oriented in the same plane of the aromatic ring [C-C-O-C torsion angle = 9.14?(16)°]. While one methyl group of the tert-pentyl substituent is coplanar with the benzene ring [C-C-C-C = 0.45?(15)°] and lies towards the less-hindered H atom, the other methyl and ethyl groups are directed to either side of the benzene ring [C-C-C-C torsion angles = 118.78?(12) and 59.11?(14)°, respectively]. In the crystal, the hydro-phobic mol-ecules pack to form a brick-wall-like architecture.

Project description:In the title compound, {[Co(C10H8O6)(C16H20N4)(H2O)2]·5H2O} n , octa-hedrally coordinated Co(II) ions on crystallographic inversion centres are bound by trans O atoms belonging to two hydro-quinone-O,O'-di-acetate (hqda) anions {systematic name: 2,2'-[(1,4-phenyl-ene)bis-(-oxy)]di-acetate}, two trans-pyridine N-donor atoms from two bis-(pyridin-4-ylmeth-yl)piperazine (4-bpmp) ligands, and two trans aqua ligands. The exobidentate hqda and 4-bpmp ligands form [Co(hqda)(4-bpmp)(H2O)2] n coordination polymer layers parallel to (110) that are anchored into the full crystal structure by O-H?O hydrogen bonding between aqua ligands and ligated hqda O atoms. Disordered water mol-ecules of crystallization occupy incipient channels along [100]. However, these could not modeled reliably and so they were treated with SQUEEZE in PLATON [Spek (2009 ?). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]; the crystal data take the presence of these mol-ecules into account. The crystal under investigation was twinned by non-merohedry, the twin fraction of the components being 53.3% and 46.7%. Only data from the major twin component were used in the refinement.

Inter-molecular Ag?O inter-actions [3.149?(3) and 2.686?(3)?Å], N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions between the cyclic dimers and the anions or the solvent mol-ecules lead to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The green title complex, [Co(2)(CH(3))(2)(C(12)H(21)N(2)Si)(2)], was obtained from bis-{[?-N-tert-butyl-dimethyl-silyl-N-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)amido]-chloridocobalt(II)} and methyl-lithium in diethyl ether at 195?K via a metathesis reaction. The dimeric cobalt(II) complex exhibits a crystallographic center of inversion in the middle of the Co(2)N(2) ring (average Co-N = 2.050?Å). The Co(II) atom shows a distorted tetra-hedral coordination sphere. The exocyclic Co-N bond length to the pyridyl group shows a similar value of 2.045?(4)?Å. The exocyclic methyl group has a rather long Co-C bond length of 2.019?(5)?Å.
