ABSTRACT: In the title 1:1 co-crystal, [PtCl2(C11H14ClN3O)2]·C7H5ClO, the coordination polyhedron of the Pt(II) atom is slightly distorted square-planar with the chloride and 2,3-di-hydro-1,2,4-oxa-diazole ligands mutually trans, as the Pt atom lies on an inversion center. The 4-chloro-benzaldehyde mol-ecules are statistically disordered about an inversion centre with equal occupancies for the two positions. The Pt(II) complex forms a three-dimensional structure through C-H?Cl and weaker C-H?O inter-actions with the 4-chloro-benzaldehyde mol-ecule.

Project description:In title compound, [PtCl2(C15H21N3O2)2], the Pt(II) cation, located on an inversion center, is coordinated by two Cl(-) anions and two 3-(4-meth-oxy-phen-yl)-2-methyl-5-(piperidin-1-yl)-2,3-di-hydro-1,2,4-oxa-diazole ligands in a distorted Cl2N2 square-planar geometry. The di-hydro-oxa-diazole and piperidine rings display envelope (with the non-coordinating N atom as the flap atom) and chair conformations, respectively. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into supra-molecular chains running along the b axis. The piperidine ring is disordered over two positions with the occupancy ratio of 0.528 (4):0.472 (4).

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(II)Cl(2)(C(6)H(10)N(2))(2)], a pair of 3,4,5-trimethyl-pyrazoles act as monodentate ligands. Two Cl(-) anions are also bonded directly to the Co(II) atom, which has a CoN(2)Cl(2) chromophore in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit are related by an approximate twofold rotation roughly parallel to the a axis. The amino H atom in the pyrazole ring participates in weak N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to form chains that propagate roughly parallel to the c axis.

Project description:In the title compound, [CoCl(2)(C(12)H(14)ClN(3))(2)], the central Co(II) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis and adopts a distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry defined by two N atoms from two 2-(2-chloro-ethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetra-hydro-pyrazino[1,2-a]benzimidazole ligands and two chloride anions. The Cl atom located in the side chain of the ligand is involved in inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding, which links neutral complex units into a one-dimensional right-handed helical chain running along a crystallographic 4(1) axis. Such hydrogen-bonded helical chains are connected to each other to form a homochiral three-dimensional supra-molecular network. The Co(II) atom is coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral environment by two Cl atoms and two N atoms. In the crystal structure, there are a number of C-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between symmetry-related mol-ecules.
