Type 2 diabetes is associated with vascular complication. We hypothesized that increased nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase subunit p22(phox) expression impairs vascular endothelium-dependent relaxation (EDR) in type 2 diabetes.
